  5.  ECHO Purpose:  (1) Review and discussion of Christian Reference texts
  6.  and books which speak to Christian study, growth, and faith.
  7.  (2) Sharing of knowledge gained through personal research. (3) Sharing
  8.  of information from printed media such as newspapers, magazines,
  9.  articles, etc.

  11.  ECHO Protocol:
  12.  
  13.  The review of books and texts is for the purpose of providing
  14.  information about the multitude of texts which teach ethics, religion,
  15.  and superstition instead of Christianity.  This discussion is designed
  16.  in part to promote the discussion of the better texts and provide
  17.  sufficient information that money, time, and study, can be wisely
  18.  stewarded for His glory.
  19.  
  20.  Personal research papers and other documented material are also
  21.  encouraged provided that references and bibliographies are presented
  22.  with the posts.

  24.  Additional information from printed media such as newspapers, magazines,
  25.  articles, and other printed media are encouraged to keep Christians
  26.  up to date on what is in the news, and point them towards recent
  27.  articles, or information that they otherwise would miss.

  29.  Discussions of posted reviews, papers, articles and etc. are encouraged
  30.  provided they reference the original works or provide additional
  31.  information from the same author or additional authors.  These
  32.  discussions should be centered on the content of the material presented
  33.  and not personal attacks.

  35.  Discussion of Software which is intrinsically designed for the promotion
  36.  of the Gospel or as an aid to Christian growth will also be permitted in
  37.  this echo.  Since there are other echoes which deal with software in
  38.  general, any discussion  of software on Apostle must be kept within the
  39.  narrow spectrum mentioned above.  It should also be noted that support
  40.  echoes already exist for some programs such as OLB.

  42.  ECHO Discipline:  The Moderator will guide the discussion by providing
  43.  whatever responses he chooses to questions.  Book reviews are encouraged,
  44.  but "bashing and flaming" negative posts are discouraged.  The purpose
  45.  of this echo is to enlighten not destroy.  Discussions should be
  46.  centered around the content of the reviews, papers, and articles.
  47.  Personal attacks will not be tolerated,
  48.  
  49.  ECHO Invitation:  Submit your papers, book reviews, and articles, ask
  50.  advice, search book topics, and join in the discussion respectfully.
