  2. The International GIGO Message Conference

  6. OVERVIEW
  7. This conference is a moderated forum for discussion of issues
  8. concerning GIGO and related third-party software.  Conferees can
  9. ask questions of the author of GIGO, and many of the experienced
  10. users in the conference.  This conference is available both as a
  11. FTSC echo, and as a mailling list.
  12. RESTRICTIONS/GUIDELINES FOR POSTING
  13. 1.  This is NOT a forum for bashing of any software product.  From
  14. time to time comparisons of GIGO to other gateway software may
  15. take place, but always in the spirit of comparison and mutual
  16. education.
  17. 2.  This forum is NOT a place to advertise products and services
  18. that are not directly related to GIGO and associated third-party
  19. products.  Under no circumstances are ads allowed which do
  20. not fit into this scheme!  This specifically includes but is
  21. not limited to MLM, 900-numbers, or typical "get rich"-type
  22. ads.  You may immediately lose your access without warning for
  23. posting such material.
  24. 3.  Because of the ease in subscribing to the gigo-l mailling list,
  25. the moderators reserve the right to immediately terminate any
  26. subsriptions to the list, and or access via the GIGO echo, to
  27. those users, who either by configuration errors, or willfull
  28. infractions of the rules may cause the signal to noise radio
  29. in the conference to deteriorate.
  30. 4.  Let the moderator(s) do the moderating.  If you have a problem
  31. with anyone's attitude or message content, do not engage in any
  32. personal attacks or regulation - take such complaints to the
  33. moderators as listed below:

  37. 5.  The material posted herein, unless otherwise acknowledged,
  38. remains the property of the moderators, as does this conference.
  39. No cross-posting, compilation, reprinting or retransmitting of
  40. messages in this forum to any other medium is allowed unless
  41. specifically granted by either of the moderators.
  42. 6.  It is strictly off-topic for any individual to post personal
  43. information (addresses, telephone numbers, financial data etc.)
  44. on another participant without his/her permission.
  45. 5.  We endeavor to minimize censorship and fully support ones'
  46. freedom of expression on this echo - however do not test the
  47. limits of what you can get away with saying if it is
  48. inappropriate or designed to annoy other participants.
  49. HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS
  50. 1.  Please remember that this is an INTERNATIONAL conference and
  51. is widely distributed.  You might be in Los Angeles and
  52. want to know a reputable source for bulk diskettes - don't post
  53. a message saying "Where can I get disks?"; instead qualify
  54. where you are located in the message in order to avoid
  55. confusion and inappropriate responses.
  56. 2.  One objective of this forum is to serve as a source where
  57. existing users and potential users of GIGO can share information.
