  1. The \yeDownload\no command is used to transfer files from the BBS to you. Your 
  2. computer or terminal must be capable of receiving the file using one of three 
  3. internally supported transfer protocols (Xmodem, CRC Xmodem, 1K Xmodem) or 
  4. an externally supplied protocol (use the Xproto command for a list). If no
  5. protocol has been previously selected when you give the Download command,
  6. you will be prompted for a protocol; otherwise, the protocol used last is
  7. used.

  9. To begin downloading, enter the name of the file you wish to receive. You 
  10. need not type the full filename, as Searchlight will find partial filenames, 
  11. even files in other directory areas.  When the BBS displays the message 
  12. "Ready to send", the file transfer is ready to begin.  However, before you 
  13. can receive the file, you must give your terminal the proper command. 
  14. Usually, this is done by selecting an option to receive files from a menu.

  16. Some external protocols allow you to specify multiple filenames and/or 
  17. wildcard filespecs. The "*" and "?" characters may be used. All selected 
  18. files must reside in the same directory.

  20. A file may be password protected. If you attempt to download such a file, 
  21. you will be prompted for a password, and the download will proceed only if 
  22. you provide the correct password.

  24. An auto-logoff feature is supported. If selected, the system will log you 
  25. off after the download completes, allowing you to leave your computer 
  26. unattended during the transfer.

  28. To get a directory of the files available for downloading, use the \yeFiles\no 
  29. and \yeNew\no commands.
