  8.     NOTE:  Effective with this issue of BACKSTAT.NA, the publishing schedule 
  9.     will be changing.  From this time forward, BACKSTAT.NA  and BACKBONE.NA 
  10.     will only be issued when there is a change to report.  SHould there be no 
  11.     changes, there will be no publication.
  12.  
  13.     BACKSTAT.NA is a status report prepared by the North American Backbone
  14.     Robot. It is distributed in the BACKBONE file echo and posted in the
  15.     Z1_BACKBONE echo.  It summarizes BACKBONE.NA additions, deletions and
  16.     requests, as well as North American Backbone contacts.  The cutoff for
  17.     changes is midnight Friday night, and the update will be published the
  18.     following Sunday.

  20.     Further information about the North American Backbone's distribution
  21.     system can be found in the BOFAQ (North American Backbone Frequently
  22.     Asked Questions) file which is updated as required.  Additional sources
  23.     of information are:
