Introduction :
The WWIV Teleconference ßeta-1 is a teleconference capable of
supporting 999 simultaneous instances of WWIV. Easy to use and very colorful.
The WWIV Teleconference ßeta-1 will enhance the look of your system.
Installation :
To install The WWIV Teleconference ßeta-1 do the following steps.
1. Copy "wwivchat.exe" to your main BBS directory.
2. Attrib "wwivchat.exe" as read only. You can do this by using the DOS
command attrib. ie. attrib +r wwivchat.exe.
3 Run The WWIV Teleconference ßeta-1 with the command line /S.
ie. wwivchat.exe /s. You will be prompted for two questions. The locations
of your messages and data directory. The messages directory will be the
directory where all teleconference messages are stored and retrieved.
I use a ramdrive for my messages directory. The data directory will be
used for outside pages. The data directory must be the same data directory
as the one WWIV uses. ie. c:\wwiv\data\.
4. Make sure you are using SHARE or another utility which enables file
sharing & file locking capabilities.
To access The WWIV Teleconference ßeta-1 type "/C" from the main menu
of your WWIV BBS. For any enhancements you'd like to see in future versions
E-mail 1@2664 ( CJ ) Icenet.
Thanks for your time,
