ChronoBank v1.10

OVERVIEW:
ChronoBank is a WWIV accessory to allow the logged on user to
deposit surplus on line time for later use, or attempt to quadruple the
remaining time in the ChronoCasino.
REQUIREMENTS:
ChronoBank v1.10 requires WWIV v4.22 (or later) to operate.
ChronoBank operates in less than 50 Kb of RAM, and requires less than
50 Kb in storage space.
WWIV v4.23 has a built in time bank that makes this accessory
a little redundant. This accessory works the same as the internal time
bank with the single exception that it allows the user to access their
remaining time for the rest of the day. See the notice that follows for
more details.
NOTICE:
Due to the way that Wayne has structured the user data file and
WWIV, use of any time bank routine will cause the user to suffer a
temporary loss of maximum time per day when time is deposited. This is,
however, only if the SecLev time_per_day values are not made to equal
the time_per_logon value. Here is an example:
John Q. User has an SL=30. He has time_per_logon = 30
minutes. He has time_per_day = 90 minutes. He spends
10 minutes online, and deposits 20 minutes. He has now
lost access to the remaining 60 minutes he would
normally have per day due to the way that WWIV and the
user data file is structured.
INSTALLATION:
Installation is a simple procedure:
1) Place a copy of CHBNK.EXE in your main BBS directory.
2) Enter the //CHAINEDIT menu of WWIV.
a) Insert a new entry
b) Fill out the fields as folows:
A. Description : ChronoBank v1.10
B. Filename : CHBNK.EXE %1 -W 60
C. SL : *Your Choice*
D. AR : *Your Choice*
E. ANSI : Optional
F. DOS Interrupt: Used
G. 300 Baud : Allowed
H. Shrink : YES
I. Disable pause: *Your Choice*
J. Local Only : No
c) Quit //CHAINEDIT.
Notice the inclusion of the (arbitrary) value of 60. The
program will accept a commandline parameter for a maximum amount of time
to be allowed in the depository account. This value has a range of 1 -
65535. Any value that falls outside this range, will force the program
to use the internal default of 255. Also, if you elect to omit the
value from the commandline, then the program will the use the internal
default value.
It is a MUST that the BBS is toggled to shrink out of memory.
If this is not implemented, then ChronoBank will NOT function correctly.
When WWIV returns from a shrink, it re-reads the user data back into
active memory. So, if you neglect to toggle the shrink to YES, any
changes to the user data file will not take place.
BANK / CASINO:
ChronoBank will greet the user, display how much time is
currently deposited, the maximum total allowed to be stored, how much
time the user has remaining online, and how much time the user has
spent online for that particular day. The user will be able to elect
to deposit, withdraw, or quit to the BBS.
ChronoCasino offers the user a one in ten chance to quadruple
their remaining online time. If they win, they get more time to play
around with, if they lose, they lose all remaining time for the day.
