  2. How to Become an AVA Member
  3. ===========================
  4.      Anyone can join the AVA either as a full member or as a MI-CAD 
  5. trainee.  Just send a sample of your work to the local area co-ordinator to
  6. evaluate.  If you need more help, AVA members will help you learn how to use
  7. the editors and improve your work on the MI-CAD threads.  The only true
  8. requirement is that you are a freelance artist and not involved with other
  9. groups.  
  10.      Capture and fill out the new member application and send it to your area
  11. co-ordinator along with some samples of your work.  That's it.  You will be
  12. notified within a week whether or not you will be a AVA member or will be 
  13. contributing to the AVA as a MI-CAD member.
  14.      As a member of the Audio Video Assembly as a graphic artist,
  15. a music composer, file courier, or coder, whether as a full AVA member or as 
  16. a MI-CAD member, you can expect the releases you work on to be nationally
  17. spread for everyone to see.  You help other people by using your skills to
  18. work in the co-op programs the AVA has and also by making work for BBS sysops
  19. such as ANSi's and loaders.  Audio Video Assembly Productions holds ownership
  20. to all material released and will enforce the federal copyright laws on the
  21. releases from it's members.  All members get full credit for their work, and
  22. the material released will be listed in the FAQ.
