  11. Let's go over the main menu command:

  13. FAST SEARCH BY JOB TITLE:
  14. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  15. This command allows you to enter a 35 character text string. The first
  16. line of each job will be compared to your keyword. The first line of
  17. each job contains the JOB TITLE, JOB GRADE/SERIES NUMBER, and the
  18. OPENING and CLOSING DATE of application.

  20. After 20 job matches are found (or it reaches the end of the database)
  21. you will be able to [E]xpand on any of the matched jobs.

  23. SEARCH FOR JOBS [KEYWORD]:

  25. This command allows you to type in key words to search for (35
  26. characters maximum). Some items you may search for are: cities, state,
  27. job description, a particular job code such as GS-0028 which is
  28. Environmental Protection Specialist, etc... These routines will search
  29. every line of every job in the database.

  31. After 20 job matches are found (or it reaches the end of the database)
  32. you will be able to [E]xpand on any of the matched jobs.

  34. JOB TITLE QUICK LIST:
  35. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  36. This command displays job title, grade, and opening/closing dates (20
  37. listings per screen). You may page forward and back and may also expand
  38. on any listing you choose. Simply choose abort to go back to the main menu.

  40. Jobs are listed in the order in which the appear in the database.

  42. When listing the jobs, they will be shown in the following format:

  44. <Job Title>     <Grade/Job Code/Pay Level>    <Opening/Closing Date>

  46. We are currently looking for a listing of all federal job codes in an
  47. ASCII format (i.e. GS-0028 => Environmental Protection Specialist).
