  1. The Devil's Maw

  3.      Your ship pitches violently as it enters the turbulent waters along the
  4. edge of The Devil's Maw.  Ahead to the west you see the gaping funnel of
  5. the enormous maelstrom.  The shouts of orders and prayers made by your crew
  6. are barely discernable over the creaking of the ships timbers and the 
  7. thunderous roar of the maelstrom.  You cry out your own supplication to the
  8. Gods for deliverance, but the words are lost in the din.  
  9.      Despite the violent turbulence, the Rudder of Alligar keeps your ship 
  10. on a steady course toward the small channel along the eastern edge of The
  11. Devil's Maw.  After what seems like hours you manage to reach the channel.
  12. Although your ship is battered and your crew near exhaustion it appears
  13. that you will be the first person in millenia to successfully navigate The
  14. Devil's Maw.
