  5. .  LOW COST CREDIT CARD PROCESSING for BBS or ShareWare!

  7. Now you can accept Visa and Mastercard orders over the
  8. telephone at a cost you can afford.
  9.  
  10. Teleflora CreditLine, a third party credit card processing company,
  11. offers telePC, a software product designed specifically for bulletin
  12. board users.  Now you can integrate on-line credit card processing into
  13. your existing computer system.  No extra equipment is required.
  14.  
  15. Features:

  17. .     Visa and MasterCard at discount rates from 2.25% to
  18.       2.55% depending upon the payment option you chose.
  19.  
  20. .     Diner's Club, Carte Blanche, JB Card at discount rates
  21.       from 3.25% to 3.50%.
  22.  
  23. .     If you want to accept American Express or Discover
  24.       Card, we'll help arrange for you to process using
  25.       TelePC.  (Rates and payment arrangements are made
  26.       directly between you and American Express and Discover
  27.       Card.)
  28.  
  29. .     No minimum monthly volume requirements!  (If your
  30.       average ticket and monthly volume are high, you may be
  31.       eligible for even lower rates.)
  32.  
  33. Costs:
  34.  
  35. .     $125 non-refundable application fee.  Whether or not
  36.       your application is approved, this fee is not returned.
  37.  
  38. .     Discount rates listed above are deducted from your
  39.       credit card sales before you receive payment.

  41. .     $0.25 transaction fee per credit card transaction
  42.       regardless of credit card type, dollar amount, or
  43.       transaction type.

  47. Qualifications:
  48.  
  49. .     You must be at least 18 years old.
  50.  
  51. .     Established BBS or Shareware author/company that can
  52.       verify a minimum of six months operation.
  53.  
  54. .     Good personal credit.  Since many BBS and ShareWare
  55.       companies are not primary income sources, we use a
  56.      personal credit record for the credit check.  If you
  57.      have judgments, tax liens, and unpaid accounts, you're
  58.      likely to be declined.
  59.  
  60. .     U.S. - based company only.  You may accept credit cards
  61.       issued by foreign banks, but we are only permitted to
  62.       handle U.S. - based merchants.
  63.  
  64. .     For A BBS, we need access to your telephone numbers,
  65.       hours of operation, and supported connect rates
  66.       (2400bps, V.32, HST, etc.).  If new callers are
  67.       severely restricted, we need to arrange access so we
  68.       may log on and take a look around.
  69.  
  70. .     For ShareWare, we need to see the programs you offer.
  71.       A description and filename should be enough, but please
  72.       provide a KNOWN source in case we have difficulty
  73.       finding the program(s) locally.

  75. .     No 'adult' boards or ShareWare.  This requirement
  76.       becomes very subjective, so if you are unsure if this
  77.       applies to your board or program, give us access to
  78.       take a look before you send in your application (and
  79.       non-refundable $125).  If you permit 'X' rated GIF's or
  80.       if your board id primarily 'adult' conferences and
  81.       files, you will not be approved.  If you offer a small
  82.       amount of non-explicit 'adult' product, you might
  83.       qualify.

  89.        weekends, just leave a message.  Let us know where you
  90.        found out about TelePC.  You'll get an application
  91.        packet in the mail within ten business days.
