VERSION HISTORY
v6.1 (01/31/95)
Minor upgrade. Had a report of a problem with the scoreboard displaying
blank records with data displayed out of alignment. I thought this fix
was already released, but I was obviously wrong. Wanted to get this
out so that others didn't encounter this minor, yet annoying problem.
v6.0 (08/14/94)
I can't believe it's been 10 months an update. The code has been
extremely stable and I had just about run out of ideas to incorporate
into the door. But several ideas were suggested by sysops and here they
are.
With all the enhancements over the years, and that at least 2 other
authors have taken the liberty use the same name for their program
(which lack many features of this Card Sharks), I've decided to make my
program distinct once again by calling it Card Sharks Deluxe. Previous
users can continue to user their registration codes, no additional fees
are necessary for updating.
Added option to make up lost days for callers. Now if a user can't call
every day he can make up lost plays (up to the sysop defined limit).
This should encourage more plays by users who are interested, but just
can't get on every day.
Spruced up the rack display, replaced the regular ascii characters with
high ascii characters which gives it a cleaner look. Minor, but my users
commented on how much they liked it - and they don't usually say much ;)
Added option to show who adopted the door. Several sysops are fortunate
to have users make a donation to pay for specific door registrations.
You can now give credit where credit is due and list those who help pay
the cost of the door - may encourage more user contributions.
Replaced our program version display at start up to callers with a more
eye appealing display. With this, I've also put in a menu so that users
can P)lay, M)ake up days, S)coreboard, H)elp and Q)uit to the BBS.
Internal I/O changes with an upgrade in the door interface library,
including enhancements to the fossil based drivers.
