  1. Concentration is based on the popular game of the same name. The object of the
  2. game is to correctly guess the 5-digit number concealed behind the boxes. The
  3. 5-digit number is drawn in such a manner that each digit takes up all 5
  4. vertical boxes. An example of how the numbers look will be shown at the end
  5. of the instructions. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with them as
  6. it will help in making your guess (they are TRICKY).

  8. You are presented with a 5x5 grid composed of 25 boxes numbers A through Y.
  9. Each box has a predetermined value associated with it. You chose 2 boxes, by
  10. letter, and you will be shown the value of each box. If the values match, you
  11. receive the point value of the box. You only receive the point value of 1 box
  12. (ie: each box has a value of 300, you receive 300 points. If a Wild Card is
  13. used you receive the value of the box the Wild Card is matched against). The
  14. boxes are then cleared and a portion of the hidden number(s) are displayed. If
  15. there is no match, the number of "NON-Matches" is incremented by 1 and you are
  16. eligible to play again.

  18. When you start a game you have 1000 BONUS points. Each time you choose a pair
  19. of boxes the BONUS is reduced by 50 and each time you attempt to guess the
  20. hidden number, the BONUS is reduced by 50.

  27. You can take a guess at the hidden number, any time during the game. HOWEVER,
  28. if you do not guess correctly, the "NON-Matches" will be incremented by 5 and
  29. the BONUS will be reduced by 50 so use your guesses sparingly!

  31. When you have correctly guessed the number, you will receive your accumulated
  32. points, MINUS the "NON-Matches" (EACH NON-Match is equal to 20 points) PLUS
  33. any BONUS points left.

  35. After pressing [ENTER] you will be shown the way the hidden numbers will be
  36. displayed. Study them carefully as it will help in guessing the hidden 5-digit
  37. number. As we said before the numbers are tricky <grin>... GOOD LUCK!
