  1.                    REGISTRATION KEY INSTALLATION ASSISTANCE

  4. How to successfully install your registration key to cdmx2dor...
  5.  
  6. 1) make sure you have version 2.03 or later of cdmx2dor.
  7.  
  8. 2) put your keyfile (sent you you from Robert Lee) in your door's
  9.    subdirectory.  This keyfile is usually called by your last name.key
  10.    or something close.
  11.  
  12. 3) edit your cdmx2dor.cfg file to have the line specifying your key file's
  13.    name to be that of your key's filename.  For example, if my key is
  14.    called smith.key, then my cdmx2dor.cfg file would have this entry:

  19. ;   12)The next line is the name of your registration key file.  Once you
  20. ;   have registered this file will either be sent to you by electronic mail
  21. ;   or be made available to you for download on New Century BBS.  All
  22. ;   'unregistered' messages and delays will be removed thereby speeding up
  23. ;   use of the door.  If you have not registered then leave this line alone.

  29. If you supplied correct registration information, then this keyfile will work
  30. as intended.

  32. COMMON QUESTIONS and help...
  33.  
  34.      1) I installed the key and it doesn't work...  why?
  35.  
  36.           -    did you put your key file in your cdmx2's subdirectory?  You
  37.                must do so.
  38.  
  39.           -    did you edit your cdmx2dor.cfg to reflect the particular name
  40.                of your key's filename?  You must do so.
  41.  
  42.           -    do you have version 2.03 or later of cdmx2 installed?  You
  43.                must have it.  If you do not have it, then get it from
  44.                New Century BBS (309)797-6027 or Fidonet 1:232/31.
  45.  
  46.           -    did you supply the correct registration information when you
  47.                sent Robert Lee your registration, i.e., your name as
  48.                sysop on your board and your board's full name?  You must
  49.                do so.  If your information is incorrect then your key will
  50.                not work, of course.
  51.  
  52.           -    if all else fails, call Robert.
  53.  
  54.      2)  Where do I get this key file?
  55.  
  56.           -    if you register one will be made available to you either
  57.                by Robert sending one to you via e-mail to your BBS or
  58.                one will be posted for you to download.
