  5.    CatList is a BBS Listing door that allows you to list you favorite BBS.
  6.    The SysOp specifies the number of days that a list may remain current.
  7.    At the end of this time, CatList will send you a notification that your
  8.    BBS listing has expired.  You will receive this notice for 10 days or
  9.    until you re-enter the door and update your listing.  On the eleventh day
  10.    if you have not updated your listing, it will be deleted.

  12.    CatList is very simple to use.  The options are listed below with a few
  13.    remarks.

  15.      ADD A BBS - This option is where you first enter your BBS listing.
  16.                  CatList will prompt you for the necessary information.  You
  17.                  will be asked if the information you have entered is
  18.                  correct at the completion of each item.
  19.  
  20.      UPDATE    - This is the option you must choose to EDIT or UPDATE your
  21.                  listing.   You may choose which item or items you wish to
  22.                  change or update.  If you just want to do a quick update
  23.                  to keep you listing fresh, choose [Q]uit and it will
  24.                  automatically update your listing.  You will only be able
  25.                  to update listings that you originally entered.

  27.      DELETE    - If you wish to delete a BBS that you have listed, select
  28.                  this option.  Once you select [D]elete, the listing will be
  29.                  deleted with no way to recover it.  Be careful!  As with
  30.                  the update, you may only delete listing that you entered.

  32.      VIEW      - When you select this option, the entire database listing
  33.                  will scroll on the screen.  You will be given the option to
  34.                  view the information for an individual system.

  36.      SEARCH    - This selection allows you to do a text search of certain
  37.                  items of data for each BBS.  For instance, if you were to
  38.                  enter a search string of "ADULT", CatList will search the
  39.                  BBS Name, SysOp Name, City & Description for any occurrence
  40.                  of "ADULT" and give you a listing of all entries that
  41.                  contain that string.  You will then be given the option to
  42.                  view all the information for a particular listing.

  44.      AREA CODE - This option functions the same way as SEARCH except that is
  45.                  searches the Area Code record in the database.

  47.      COLOR     - This selection allows you to switch from ANSI to ASCII
  48.                  to RIP.  You must have a RIPSCRIP compatible term
  49.                  program to receive RIP graphics.

  52.    CatList creates a full-color bulletin which you may view from the
  53.    bulletin menu.  A TEXT file is also generated which individual SysOps may
  54.    provide for you to download.
