  1. Wow....
  2. I just released NFT 1.29 with some major changes, and within a week,
  3. I've got 1.30 ready to go.

  5.         Things are boring and slow at work...<G>
  6.  
  7. There was some really good response to 1.29 and it's features, so I
  8. tried to incorporate some of those changes into other areas.
  9.  
  10. First of all, I fixed several glitches that I discovered, primarily in
  11. the new directory listing, where cycling with the arrow keys got a litte
  12. screwy at times.
  13.  
  14. When you go to view a list, it no longer asks if you want to view the
  15. entire list or individual directories.  Now, viewing the entire list is
  16. the first selection in the Directory Selection menu.  I also added some
  17. code to "remember" which directory that you last checked, so that you
  18. don't start from the first directory after viewing each directory.

  20. Limited mouse support has been enabled.  Generally, you can use your
  21. mouse to navigate the various menus...anywhere that accepts arrow key
  22. input.  The left button acts as the [ENTER] key, and the right button
  23. acts as the [ESC] key.

  25. I changed the screens where you can pick a file listing.  It now shows
  26. the name of the file, the BBS, and how old it is.  It's also been done
  27. in a manner similar to the directory choice menu.

  29. Some minor aesthetic changes have been added, as well as search
  30. functions!  When you're looking through a file list, pressing 'F2'
  31. allows you to search for a key word or phrase.  Matches are exact.
  32. There are no boolean searchs YET.  If a match is found, you are given
  33. the option to request that file.  If you don't, it continues searching.
  34. You can abort the search at any time by pressing a key.

  36. Also, there's another bug fix of FNDLIST.  Sometimes, it wouldn't change
  37. back to the original directory.  Just replace your old FNDLIST.EXE with
  38. the new one.

  40. That's about it for this release.  I have been trying (unsuccessfully)
  41. to track down the bug that sometimes cuts off the first letter or 2 of a
  42. filename during a file listing.  I'm clueless, but I'm continueing to
  43. work on it.
