RE: 1Re: 9hey dawg
1>0 To be honest " I " don't know what Dawg has in programs. Dawg could you
1>0please post a liting of your programs (etc), what versions they are at, and
1>0possibly what you are asking for them in registrations.
Here's what I believe is a complete list. I've made appropriate comments below
each:
ASORT11.ZIP 27K 12-14-95 CEREBRUM Software's ASort v1.1 [RELEASE]
Sort program for Aces High onliner. It's no longer "needed" as the author
did finally add a sort to the display; and I lost the source code anyway. :)
CLEAN11.ZIP 49K 02-12-96 CleanUp v1.1 for WWIV - Freeware Utility
Part of the FMD deal.
DFRAG301.ZIP 65K 02-28-96 DEFRAG v3.01 - WWIV Message Base/EMAIL.DAT
I have a 3.10ß running here. The only change(s) I've made at this point
are that is uses WWIV.INI now instead of a defrag.key for registration
information and has some configurable settings in there instead of
requiring them on the command line. I will try and release 3.1 as soon
after we have a "final" set of WWIV 4.30 code to ensure that there are
no compatibility issues.
DLOG105.ZIP 70K 02-04-96 CEREBRUM Software's DLog
I just checked I've got a v1.10 here that is mostly finished up. However
the differences are very small. Most are internal code changes where I've
combined code from several programs into a single .lib to simplify my life.
DM200B4.ZIP 70K 07-08-97 Dmail v2.00 [BETA] Use at your own risk!
Works. Although in dire need of a complete rewrite. The problem with this
seems to be I added so much and wasn't very proficient when I added things
that the code is a mess. What I had hoped to do was to turn the main
program into a "shell" and spawn the sub programs (dnum, dmm, etc.). As
is mentioned on the form, registering this does register >all< of the
related sub programs.
DMM111.ZIP 27K 06-12-96 CEREBRUM Software's DMM v1.11
Multimails >ALL< users on your bbs. While other programs (include Dmail
itself) will do this; the advantage this has was that it writes directly
to email.dat and was many many times faster than Dmail itself or any of
the others out there.
DMPST111.ZIP 31K 06-12-96 CEREBRUM Software's DMpost v1.11
Autoposting program. Will post to any sub of your choosing. Use in
batch files to post adds or news or whatever you need to autopost. Also
writes directly to the subs data file on local subs.
DNUM111.ZIP 26K 06-12-96 CEREBRUM Software's DNUM v1.11
New user mailer. Had the advantage of >NOT< requiring any source mod,
and not needing to spawn network2 (like Dmail had to). Still in regular
use here. WWIV v4.30 will have this capability internally; however there
is still a use for this if you want the newuser email sent from someone
other than user one, it is definable in WWIV.INI. I do also plan on porting
the code from Dmail to allow for multiple letters. In Dmail you had six
settings, setup like this:
Non-Adult SL Adult
1) l1.txt 30 l2.txt
2) l3.txt 40 l4.txt
3) l5.txt 60 l6.txt
What you could do was toggle the "adult age" setting off and on. If it was
on you selected an age cutoff. Then depending on the security level they
got and their age, it sent the appropriate letter. Worked very nice in
conjuction with The Bishop's autoval mod (which Dmail would also send the
email to their home system).
DUS110.ZIP 27K 12-05-98 Dawg's User Status v1.1 creates list of male/fem
This program itself is many years old (I didn't even have it anymore) and I
lost the source way back when. It was written for a local sysop here who
wanted a listing of all males and all females for his GFILES section. I
believe that v1.10 added a birthday listing as well. In any case it was
a learning experience.
ELN321.ZIP 79K 12-14-95 ELN 3.21 - WWIV network viewer/editor.
I have a v3.30ß that handles compressed network packets running here. Ronda
had a copy (although her's should be expired) as does Maintech (he has a
newer build that should still run). I haven't seen any huge problems and
will probably release it soon. I need to update the docs very badly. The
compression code is contained in a second exe (duncomp.exe) that will >ONLY<
function from inside of ELN, at least at this point.
FILEREQ.ZIP 27K 02-12-96 FileREQ v1.0 for FILEnet/Linker - Freeware.
FVB20.ZIP 97K 09-02-96 FVB v2.0 - External Voting Booth (08/31/96)
FVBJR11.ZIP 51K 02-12-96 FVBjr v1.1 - FMD Voting Booth Junior For WWIV.
NOBAK20.ZIP 29K 02-12-96 NoBak v2.0 - Delete *.BAK or specified
RQSCAN10.ZIP 29K 02-12-96 ResetQSCAN v1.0 by FMD Software
All of this is FMD stuff.
STRIP214.ZIP 110K 12-07-95 STRIPIT 2.14 by Starship Trooper. OS/2 and DOS.
I have a v2.20ß here that seems stable enough. Most of the work on the
v2.20ß was done by Matt before he gave me the code. I have added some stuff
to the code (such as pipe code stripping) and it seems stable. The two
reasons it's not been released are the documentation aspect; and the fact
that Matt completely rewrote the way the INI file worked. I personally
didn't want the hassle of messing with that; although I suppose it can't
really hurt.
WSTRIP30.ZIP 34K 04-02-96 WWIVstrip v3.0 - Graphical STRIP.EXE!
FMD stuff.
WSYS17.ZIP 403K 09-02-96 WWIVsys v1.7 - WWIV SysOp Utilities - 08/31/96
This one is the sticky one. I've got a v2.00ß here that I'm using. Part
of the code in it was done by Spotnick but wasn't complete. The other
"problem" is that there are significant structure changes with v4.30 of WWIV
that I have to address. I've done a good portion of that, although I still
need to recode the archiver stuff. This code has been worse to deal with
than ELN/Stripit (which Matt wrote in all C++), since it's so much larger.
I'd like a day/date release with WWIV v4.30, but realistically it'll likely
be 3-4 weeks after.
As far as registration goes, the next post contains the last revision of my
registration form, although kinda like Frank used to say make an offer. :)
