TriTel v1.11 Interim Update Documentation
-----------------------------------------
TriTel release v1.11 is an interim update designed to fix a few
minor bugs in the v1.1 code and add a few new features. Bug
fixes are detailed in HISTORY.DOC. This file documents v1.11's
new features.
UPGRADING TO 1.11
-----------------
Upgrading from v1.1 to v1.11 is accomplished by simply copying
BBS.EXE into your TriTel directory.
INTERNATIONAL PHONE NUMBER SUPPORT
----------------------------------
The Waiting for Caller screen's Configure System dialog box now
has a <P> option. This option toggles the way TriTel supports
phone numbers. The default is to use the XXX-XXX-XXXX U.S. phone
number style. By toggling this option to "No", TriTel will allow
callers to enter a string of up to 12 characters in length. This
should meet the needs of the international BBS community.
SKIP CONFERENCE DURING NEW MESSAGE READING
------------------------------------------
TriTel now presents a <S>kip Conference option when the caller is
reading "New Messages".
FORCED HANGUP WHEN RUN WITH A FRONTEND OR WITH A DOOR
-----------------------------------------------------
TriTel now supports an optional "/H" command line switch. This
switch instructs TriTel to hangup after each call even when the
board is being run with a frontend or as a door.
ERROR CORRECTION MESSAGES WITH THE "/F" COMMAND LINE SWITCH
-----------------------------------------------------------
An error correction message can now be passed with TriTel's "/F"
command line switch by using the following format:
/FBaudRate/ErrorCorrectionMessage
Where:
BaudRate is the caller's baud rate.
ErrorCorrectionMessage is the error correcting connection
message.
For example, /F2400/ARQ could be used to tell TriTel that an
error correcting 2400 baud connection already exists.
BETWEEN CALLER MAINTENANCE
--------------------------
TriTel will now call an optional BETWEEN.BAT batch file between
each call. This can be used to perform any between caller
maintenance routines.
@-VARIABLES
-----------
Besides using control codes in display screens to perform certain
specified actions, TriTel now supports the following @-variables
