  3. V4.6 had a small bug in the  low-memory  mode (the mode used when
  4. insufficient memory was available).  It would cause a never ending
  5. loop when a new date was entered.

  12. Still had some graphical problems that I hadn't caught on the
  13. unregistered version.  So I cleaned that up a bit.

  15. Took out the   Please wait  between each line print.

  17. Also, put a better explanation to the user. AFTER they hit Yes I'll
  18. enter a date they will be told that only themselves and the sysop
  19. can see the dates they enter.

  21. Last but not least I did find a tiny bug in the new memory routines.
  22. It probably didn't cause a problem since data bases are not so large
  23. yet.

  25. Added the file  SYS_READ.NOW  which basically tells you sysops that
  26. you need to inform your user that the dates entered in the Holiday
  27. door are not seen by anyone but themselves and you.  It recommends
  28. you place such information in a new files or such.

  33. Found a bug in version 4.4. Dates entered via the user entry mode were
  34. not being saved.

  43. In 4.3 I re-did the face/front end of the program.

  45. With 4.4 I re-did all of the graphics and removed the external editor. 
  46. Opting for a self contained editor now allowing you to edit the database
  47. locally or from remote. I also streamlinded the sorting code and
  48. considerably sped up operation.

  50. With the new option comes a new optional file.

  52. The filename is  EDITPWRD.HOL.

  54. If this file is not present, the door will not offer the editor.

  56. The file contians one line, the first line, that line contains the
  57. password required for access to the editor.

  59. If all is working, you can press the   *   after all the dates are displayed
  60. and you will be asked the password and shuttled to the editor.

  70. You should also notice a performance difference providing you 
  71. have adequate memory available to store the date file in memory.

  73. Besides the performance there is a way to tell if the door is running
  74. in the "use the memory" mode.

  76. After the first date is displayed (weather it be Holiday or Personal)
  77. the   Please wait   prompt is different when running under the
  78. "use the memory" mode.

  80. You will see a period at the end of   Please wait .. ie  Please wait.

  82. When you are not running in the  "use the memory" mode. there will be 
  83. no   period   at the end of the Please wait.

  85. Remember, these are the  Please wait  prompts  AFTER the first date
  86. has been displayed.

  88. Also, you cannot do anything to choose memory or non-memory mode.
  89. The program will automatically sense if there is enough space 
  90. for the entire data file to fit.

  92. It not, it reverts back to it's original mode of operation.
