  3. Program ≈ SLTC (SearchLight TodaysCalls)
  4.  
  5. Purpose ≈ To display to the user or sysop those callers who have called
  6.           since midnight. If the sysop runs it from dos and there is noone
  7.           online then the phone numbers of the users will be displayed for
  8.           the sysop. (Read further for forced phone numbers)
  9.  
  10. Parameters ≈ Only one parameter is used. If a user is online and you want
  11.              the listing with phone numbers, use the 'L' parameter. This
  12.              is handy for those using Desqview or other multitasking
  13.              software. I don't really like parameters, as a good program
  14.              will be able to pick up all the information it needs from
  15.              the data files.

  17. Environment ≈ You need to setup an environment variable called SLBBS. Set
  18.               this variable to the directory where your CONFIG.SL2 file
  19.               is located.
  20.                         i.e. SET SLBBS=C:\BBS
  21.               If you don't set this variable, the program will terminate
  22.               with a message. This allows you to put sltc into a seperate
  23.               directory, and then run the program. Helps to keep your BBS
  24.               directory from getting too cluttered.

  26. Key File ≈ This file is used to help me find out who uses the program.
  27.            A default key file is provided and if you would like a custom
  28.            key file, contact me and I will make one for you. You MUST
  29.            have this key file in the same directory when you run the
  30.            program.

  32. Header File ≈ You can however create one file. The default greeting will
  33.               show if the file does not exist. You may create a file called
  34.               SLTC.HDR with text and SL color codes. All colors are support
  35.               but inverse and blink are not at this time. These additional
  36.               codes are supported:

  38.                 Tm = Time          Dt = Date           Td = Time of day
  39.                 Nm = UserName      Ul = KB Uploads     Dl = KB Downloads
  40.                 Tl = Time Left     Lt = LastLogon Time Ld = LastLogon Date
  41.                 Tc = Total Calls   Fl = First Logon    Lo = Location

  43.               Don't use an ANSI file for a header. I have not yet written
  44.               the routines I need to support ANSI sequences.

  60.            under consideration. There is no registration needed, but if you
  61.            like you may send me mail stateing you enjoy and use the program.

  63. Guarantee ≈ I guarantee that this program does NOTHING. If something goes
  64.             wrong, it is not my fault. And if all else fails, RTFM!

  103.    pushing me to correct it. (Got the little sucker)

  106.    Changed the internal structuring for handling the header file. With
  107.    that I also added several new meta characters to the program. See above.

  110.    Upgraded the data files for SLBBS 2.xx. All versions after this will
  111.    only work with SLBBS 2.x. Also added a key file for registration. No
  112.    fee was involved, I just like to know how many people are running this
  113.    program. I am also using it against those who like to hack programs
  114.    even when they are free. Sysop can obtain a key file by contacting me.

  117.    Added additional error traps to ensure files are found and opened.
  118.    Corrected minor bug, where Error 100 appeared when running SLTC while
  119.      no user was online from a seperate window.
