  5. To pause the current process at any time, hit Ctrl-S (XOFF, ASCII 19).
  6. To resume the current process after a pause, hit Ctrl-Q (XON, ASCII 17).
  7. To abort the current process, hit Ctrl-C (ETX, ASCII 3).

  9. ghGetting Help:n
  10.  
  11. At nearly every input prompt you can type '?' or '/?' to display a menu of
  12. available commands. To access help text files that the sysop might have
  13. available, enter the Text File Section ('G' command) from the main menu.

  17. Synchronet uses a 'hotkey' style command mode. Valid single character commands
  18. are interpreted immediately after they are struck.

  20. ghControl Characters:n
  21.  
  22. Synchronet gives certain control characters specific functions. Most of these
  23. functions are available to the user at any given time. To display the Ctrl-Key
  24. menu type Ctrl-K.

  26. ghBi-level BBS:n
  27.  
  28. Synchronet's messages and transfer files are divided into two levels.
  29. Every message (with the exception of mail) belongs to a Sub-board and each
  30. Sub-board is a member of a group. Every transfer file belongs to a Directory
  31. and each Directory is a member of a Library. To list the available Message
  32. Groups or File Libraries, use the '/*' command at the main section or transfer 
  33. section prompts respectively. To list the available Sub-boards or Directories,
  34. use the '*' command. To change the current Group or Library, type '/x' where
  35. x is the number of the Group or Library you wish to change to. To change the
  36. current Sub-board or Directory, type the corresponding Sub-board or Directory
  37. number. The main section and transfer section prompts reflect the current
  38. Group and Sub-board or Library and Directory. Example:
