  6.         DOS 3.0 or later
  7.         SHARE.EXE to be loaded (if not running NetWare)
  8.         IBM PC compatible with hard disk and 500k free DOS memory.
  9.         Disk caching software strongly recommended.
  10.         Hayes compatible modem (if modem is enabled)
  11.  
  12. The small version (S1Bxx.ZIP) of the DEMO is lacking the following files:
  13. (which are all optional for the use of Synchronet)

  15. EXEC\GIFDIR.EXE                         Freeware program for display GIF info
  16. EXEC\DSZ.COM                Unregistered DSZ for X, Y, and Zmodem
  17. EXEC\SBBSFIDO.EXE            Synchronet/FidoNet import/export util

  23. The following files should have been included in the SBBS1Bxx.ZIP file:

  26. SBBSREAD.ME     This file
  27. INSTALL.BAT     A simple batch file to create sub-directories and unzip files
  28. CTRL.EXE        Configuration files that belong in the CTRL directory
  29. EXEC.EXE        Executable files that belong in the EXEC directory
  30. TEXT.EXE        Misc. text files and menus that belong in the TEXT directory
  31. NODE.EXE        Node configuration files for the NODE1 directory
  32. DOCS.EXE        Documentation that belongs in the DOCS directory
  33. XTRN.EXE    Blackjack game and C programmer's SDK for the XTRN directory
  34.  
  35. When extracted, the files should have had a "- AV" next to each one and when
  36. finished extracting all files, diplayed:

  40. If extracting this file did not display the above message, DO NOT INSTALL;
  41. call Vertrauen BBS for a direct verified copy of the DEMO. See bottom of this
  42. file for phone numbers.

  44. After extracting SBBS1Bxx (or S1Bxx), type:

  46. INSTALL

  48. Ordering Synchronet

  50. Print and fill-out the ORDER.TXT file from the DOCS directory and send to the 
  51. specified address. A 2 node license of Synchronet is only $99 and a 250 node 
  52. license is only $199.

  56. About 95% of the source code (over 20,000 lines) in Turbo C++ v1.0 is available
  57. for an additional cost. Call for current pricing.
