  18. DREAM FORGE (tm) is a monthly emagazine for a thinking and literate 
  19. readership.  Dream Forge, Inc. is seeking Official DREAM FORGE
  20. Distributors (ODFDs) throughout cyberspace.  The ODFDs will sell 
  21. individual copies of the current issue (and back issues) of DREAM 
  22. FORGE to their callers on a pay-by-download basis.
  23.  
  24. The list price of individual DREAM FORGE issues is $2.95.  (All 
  25. amounts are in US dollars.)  As additional online sales technologies
  26. become available, the ODFDs will be encouraged to offer DREAM FORGE 
  27. using these new techniques.
  28.    
  29. Responsibilities of ODFDs:
  30.  
  31.   1) Make DREAM FORGE available to their callers using any
  32.      available online sales technology (e.g. sale by download).
  33.      The ODFD warrants that all DREAM FORGE downloads will be
  34.      counted and paid for on a monthly basis.
  35.  
  36.   2) Promote the availability of DREAM FORGE to all callers
  37.      during the logon process.
  38.  
  39.   3) Resolve any customer complaints related to obtaining
  40.      DREAM FORGE from their system (i.e. broken archives,
  41.      aborted downloads, etc.).  Dream Forge, Inc. will assume
  42.      no liability for any such problems, other than replacing
  43.      any broken DREAM FORGE archive sent to the distributor's
  44.      system by the publisher.
  45.  
  46.   4) Provide a monthly report to the publisher showing the
  47.      download count for each DREAM FORGE issue carried by the
  48.      system.
  49.  
  50.   5) Remit the publisher's share (60%) of all DREAM FORGE sales 
  51.      to the publisher promptly on a monthly basis.  Any credit 
  52.      card or transaction processing fees incurred in selling 
  53.      DREAM FORGE are strictly the responsibility of the ODFD.
  54.      If an ODFD chooses to sell DREAM FORGE for a discount, the 
  55.      publisher's share remains 60% of the official list price 
  56.      of the magazine ($1.77/copy at the list price of $2.95).

  58.   6) Provide a complimentary account on the ODFD system for
  59.      the use of DREAM FORGE staff.  The account need not have
  60.      any sysop privileges, except that it should allow DREAM
  61.      FORGE staff to view the current download counts for all
  62.      DREAM FORGE issues being sold.  The account should have
  63.      all upload and download privileges normally offered to
  64.      those with "free, shareware uploader" status.

  66. Benefits for ODFDs:
  67.  
  68.   1) The ODFD retains 40% of all DREAM FORGE sales ($1.18/copy 
  69.      sold at a list price of $2.95) made, less any transaction 
  70.      fees incurred (see #5 above).  The ODFD also retains any 
  71.      time based fees incurred by any user as they download the 
  72.      emag.  
  73.      
  74.   2) The right to advertise their system as an Official DREAM
  75.      FORGE Distributor.  A logon screen may be (indeed, should
  76.      be) displayed to all callers so identifying the system.
  77.  
  78.   3) A listing in each DREAM FORGE issue identifying the ODFD,
  79.      including System name, primary data telephone number, 
  80.      number of lines, and location of system (City/state/country).
  81.  
  82.   4) A 20% discount on any advertising purchased in DREAM FORGE
  83.      to advertise the ODFD system, or any products or services
  84.      offered by the firm that owns the ODFD.  This discount is
  85.      cumulative with any other applicable discounts.
  86.  
  87.   5) A 40% discount on a display subscription to DREAM FORGE for
  88.      the ODFD system.  Applies only to a prepaid annual 
  89.      subscription, and is not cumulative with any other offers.
  90.      (e.g. The operators of a 100 line BBS that is an ODFD will 
  91.      pay $597/year to display DREAM FORGE to their callers rather 
  92.      than the normal fee of $995.)
