  98.           First of  all, you should obtain an up-to-date world nodelist
  99.           file in  Fidonet text format and place it in a directory, for
  100.           example C:\NODELIST,  where all  the following nodediff files
  101.           compressed with PkZip or PkPak will be placed as well.

  103.           Then you should set the environment variable NL with the path
  104.           of the  directory  containing  the  files,  for  example  SET
  105.           NL=C:\NODELIST. The variable NL is not compulsory; if it does
  106.           not exist,  the programmes  will process  the  files  of  the
  107.           current directory.

  144.               Type NLGEN and then press enter.
  145.               The program  does not  request parameters. It will search
  146.               for  the  world  nodelist  and  the  relevant  compressed
  147.               nodediff file creating automatically the new nodelist. At
  148.               end of  process the old nodelist will be erased. With the
  149.               parameter -d it will erase the nodediff file too.

  151.           NLNET <Zone>:<Net>
  152.  
  153.               Type NLNET  followed by  the address  of the  network  to
  154.               extract, and then press enter.
  155.               Example: NLNET 2:33
  156.               The  programme  will  create  the  file  <Zone>_<Net>.xxx
  157.               (where xxx  corresponds the day of the world nodelist) in
  158.               the directory  of the  nodelist. Please,  note  that  the
  159.               created file  does not comprise eventual comments present
  160.               in the  nodelist, while  the line of the zone is included
  161.               at the  beginning, so  that the  resulting  file  can  be
  162.               elaborated by  software requiring  the presence  of  such
  163.               line (for example Remote Access).

  165.           NLLST ok < nodelist [> text]

  167.               Type NLLST  followed by  "ok",  then  the  character  "<"
  168.               followed by  the pathname of the input file to be read in
  169.               Fidonet format,  than the  character ">"  followed by the
  170.               pathname of the file to be generated, and press enter.
  171.               Example: NLLST ok < C:\NODELIST\REGION.033 > REGION.TXT
  172.               The  programme   will  create   a  80-column   text  file
  173.               containing the  following  fields:  BBS  name,  location,
  174.               telephone number, and baud rate.

  179.               The programme  will  calculate  the  CRC  of  the  latest
  180.               nodelist, and  display the  message "ok" if the latter is
  181.               correct. In  case  of  error,  it  will  display  "FAILED
  182.               CHECK!" and return the errorlevel 255.
