MessageBase Reporter
v2.01
(c) 1994 dbs Communications
I. What Is it?
MessageBase Reporter is a quick and dirty routine to look within your
RemoteAccess 2.0x message area configuration and print a list of active
message base names.
In the course of setting up and maintaining RemoteAccess 2.02, there have
been several occasions where I needed/wanted a printed list of the message
area names. So far, I've not been able to find a program that would allow
me to print this list.
II. How to use it.
Usage is very simple - run the program. It looks for the RA environment
variable to find out where to locate messages.ra (SET RA=c:\ra). The
trailing slash isn't important, MBRPT can handle the variable with or
without the slash.
MBRPT then looks at messages.ra and sends the message base name from every
active message area to the printer on LPT1.
MBRPT also prints the JAM directory for those areas that are JAM bases, and
for Hudson Message areas, the program simply prints that information.
The program also sends the message area type to the report. The line below
the Hudson or JAM information will inform you of the configured type for
each active message area (Local, Echo, Netmail, Internet or Newsgroup).
III. Legal stuff.
This program is guaranteed to take up space on your hard drive. Otherwise,
no warranty, express or implied, is granted. The program is distributed AS
IS, with no guarantee that it will work with your system.
Registration is not required, and no payment is expected. All rights
remain with dbs Communications and the author. You are granted a license
to use this program on your system without limitation.
