  2. A_CAD.RUL - International AutoCAD/CAD Conference              02/26/93

  4. o The main topic of this echo conference is AutoCAD(tm) and the use
  5.   of it, add on products like third party or shareware software,
  6.   required hardware, utilities, tips, tricks and programming of any
  7.   facet of ACAD. Other CAD or PC CAD is also open for discussion.
  8.  
  9. o Advertisements of products or services by vendors of any type or
  10.   personal ads to sell software or hardware are NOT welcome.
  11.  
  12. o File listings are highly frowned upon but new file announcements
  13.   that would benefit "the topic" will be permitted, within reason.
  14.  
  15. o Product or Service announcements fall under advertisements and
  16.   are not allowed. The one, and only one exception will be official
  17.   "Update" announcements from Autodesk about AutoCAD(tm).
  18.  
  19. o Foul or harsh language is not tolerable and will not be accepted.
  20.   If you don't like what someone has to say for personal reasons,
  21.   send them a reply using netmail - not echomail.
  22.  
  23. o Some echoes allow aliases, but I tend not to want them. I think
  24.   most of the professionals here want to KNOW who they are dealing
  25.   with. I prefer full names used in the echo.
  26.  
  27. o This conference is not bound by FidoNet, it's open to any network
  28.   and system that wish to carry the conference. Messages in this
  29.   conference should confirm with the FTSC (FidoNet Technical
  30.   Standards Committee) format and must contain a tear and origin
  31.   line. The tear line may not be longer than 35 characters including
  32.   the --- characters. The origin line must fit on one 80 character
  33.   wide CRT including the " # Origin: " text.
  34.  
  35. o Eight-bit ASCII is not allowed in this conference. All characters
  36.   in displayed message data (text/header) must be in the range 32 to
  37.   126, which rules out control characters. Control character can be
  38.   shown as ^@ through ^_ for 0 to 31 or any character can be noted
  39.   as <ascii xxx>.
  40.  
  41. o Offline readers abound and offer system callers an excellence way
  42.   of reading and replying to messages. These readers need to be
  43.   configured to compile with the rule (above) on 8 bit ASCII
  44.   characters. Make sure that your reader is configured to compile
  45.   with FidoNet's standards (in all respects).
  46.  
  47. o First rule of any echo is leave the moderating to the moderator.
  48.   I am the moderator, if you have a problem with someone, tell me
  49.   about it, don't post flames, etc. in the conference. I will take
  50.   whatever appropriate action I see fit.

  52. o Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.

  54. o Last Rule: Don't be annoying nor be easily annoyed.
