  1. TRAPDOOR -- Conference about "TrapDoor", the Amiga mailer program

  7.    This Area should allow the users and authors of TrapDoor to get closer
  8. together, to keep a closer contact. This is the right place to talk about
  9. all problems, bugs, suggestions etc. that relate to TrapDoor. This area is
  10. open primarily to registered users of TrapDoor, but others will be accepted
  11. as well.

  13.    Messages in this area should stick to the usual restrictions, i.e.
  14. messages must have a valid origin line, may not contain characters out of
  15. the standard ASCII range (32-126), the from field must contain a real name,
  16. personal flames are not allowed.
  17.  
  18.    The main language in this area is English.
  19.  
  20.    Messages or replies to messages that are not really interesting for the
  21. majority of the participants should rather be sent via netmail. Also,
  22. messages in this area should never be marked "private".
  23.  
  24.    Questions like "have you received my check?" or "I sent you netmail,
  25. have your received it?" are of no interest to the public. You should use
  26. netmail for such inquiries.
  27.  
  28.    Please do not post questions in this area which can be solved by
  29. studying the supplied documentation.

  31.    Please do not ask when the next version will be ready, etc.

  33.    In short: Don't annoy the developers!
  34.  
  35.    A philosophy of "Never attribute to malice what can adequately be
  36. explained by a misguided sense of humor" should be employed when reading
  37. messages in this echo (though that's no excuse for writing
  38. malicious-sounding messages yourself).
  39.  
  40.    If major disturbances and violations of these rules occur, the moderator
  41. will kindly ask the offending person(s) to stop this. If the matter is not
  42. cleaned up and/or happens again, the moderator may choose to disconnect the
  43. offending point or node from the conference. Any interpretation of or
  44. modification to these rules is left to the moderator. Please send
  45. questions/comments regarding these rules via netmail only.
  46.  
  47.    Do not play moderator yourself. This will only swamp the echo with
  48. thousands of similar messages like "your origin line is missing an
  49. address". If you find an annoying message, and you don't see any reply by
  50. one of the moderators, don't think the message has gone by unnoticed. The
  51. moderator has probably sent netmail to the offending person. If you really
  52. feel you have to remind the offender yourself, use netmail.
