  6. SAFETY...       Safety for Survivors of Incest and Sexual Child Abuse
  7.                 is our top priority.  Perpetrators of sexual abuse
  8.                 are NOT welcome here.
  9.                 Survivors, those that think they might have been sexually
  10.                 abused or *PRO-SURVIVORS* (those that support a survivor)
  11.                 are the only people welcome to share here.
  12.  
  13. CROSS-POSTING...Because of the nature of this echo, and the topic of
  14.                 Child Abuse in general, cross-posting of messages from
  15.                 PLEASE to other echoes FOR ANY REASON is strictly forbidden
  16.                 without permission of the original person writing the message
  17.                 and the person the message was originally written to.

  24. PURPOSE...      This echo is dedicated to the use of sharing and resolving
  25.                 the issues of Survivors of Incest, and other Childhood
  26.                 Abuses. This is NOT a forum for issues of perpetrators of
  27.                 sexual abuse.

  30. RELIGION...     Religious philosophies and philosophies of "12 Step
  31.                 Anonymous Programs" do NOT apply to all issues of
  32.                 Child Abuse and Incest. Some are actually harmful!
  33.                 Please "listen" for a while and get a feel how
  34.                 THIS program works before giving advise on these
  35.                 sensitive issues.

  37. BLAME...        The practice of "blaming the victim" is not only bad
  38.                 manners, it is ultimately wrong and harmful and will
  39.                 not be tolerated.
  40.  
  41. FEELINGS...     Feelings of sorrow, rage, fear, pain and hatred are not
  42.                 only ACCEPTED, but EXPECTED. We have had a great deal
  43.                 taken from us.  Only now can we direct our negative
  44.                 feelings where they justly belong: at the perpetrator(s).
  45.  
  46. SHARING...      All sharing, when directed at other survivors, is to be
  47.                 thoughtful, kind and understanding.  Avoidance of words
  48.                 such as "should" and "must" helps stay away from advice
  49.                 giving and hurt feelings.

  51. MODERATOR DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
