  3.             Purpose and Rules for Female SysOp Echo

  6.     Purpose:
  7.  
  8.     Female SysOp is a friendly meeting place for all female sysops,
  9.     female points and users that are interested in becoming either
  10.     (affectionately referred to as "Wanna Bees"). This echo is
  11.     restricted to women only and males posting in the echo will be
  12.     POLITELY asked to leave.  Discussions in the echo will range
  13.     from general chat to high tech conversations.  While there are
  14.     no "off-topic" subjects (except for those mentioned in the rules
  15.     below), discussions will generally be directed to topics that
  16.     interest women and their involvement in computers and the
  17.     BBSworld.  Advice for Wanna Bees is encouraged.

  19.     Rules:

  21.     1)  No Flames allowed. Please do not attack other users.
  22.     Disagreements will happen and it is healthy to be exposed to
  23.     other points of view.  Remember - attack ideas if you must,
  24.     but not people.
  25.  
  26.     2)  No profanity.  I want the echo to be a pleasant place for
  27.     all to visit.  We all are able to express ourselves without
  28.     resorting to four letter words.
  29.  
  30.     3)  No MALE ATTACKS!  The echo was not started as an area to
  31.     bombard the male species. While discussions on the problems
  32.     that men cause women in the computer, BBS and business world
  33.     are encouraged, let's not group men together into a lump and
  34.     insult them all.  An occasional outburst will be allowed as
  35.     we all know how the frustrations can build up at times.

  37.     4)  Handles are not allowed.  If you are posting on a bbs that
  38.     puts your handle in the message header, please sign your
  39.     message with your real name.  Variations on your real name
  40.     (such as a nickname) are not considered to be handles.

  42.     5)  No 8-bit ascii or ansi escape characters.  These characters
  43.     cause havoc on some systems so are best avoided.

  45.     6)  Please quote messages if possible to keep the thread alive, but
  46.     never quote the whole message just to add your one line comment.
  47.     Many sysops are paying to transport this echo and this creates a much
  48.     bigger cost for them. Also do not quote the tag or origin lines at
  49.     the ends of messages.
  50.  
  51.     7)  No commercial ads are allowed.
  52.  
  53.     As moderator of this echo, I reserve the right to change or add
  54.     to these rules at any time in the future.  If you have a problem
  55.     with any of the rules, please netmail me.  Please allow me to handle
  56.     the occassional male postings, unless they originated on your
  57.     system.
