  10. Welcome to Chaos Landing. This echo is a free-form/free-speech echo. Topics
  11. range from the silly to the sublime, from serious to surreal. Openness and
  12. frankness are encouraged. There is NO 'set topic' or guidelines about what
  13. issues/topics may or may not be addressed -- this echo is formless it exists
  14. in and of itself. The rules (vestigal though they may be..) are posted below.

  16. A - This is an E ticket Ride passengers are encouraged to keep their hands
  17. and feet inside the car at all times and stay seated until the car has
  18. stopped completely.

  20. B - NO malicious Slams are allowed. People have a right to their own
  21. opinion. I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the
  22. death their right to say it. You may attack what people say but not
  23. the speaker.

  25. C - Underwear must be worn at all time (Health Departnment Regs)

  27. D - Beer must be shared with the Moderator at all times.

  29. E - Respect others opinions. If you do not agree thats fine however
  30. there comes a point where argument becomes pointless and annoying.
  31. Feel free to disagree but respect others points of view.

  33. F - Give the moderator a beer (or did I say that?).

  37. Any problems, thoughts, complaints or plain stuff may be sent to the
  38. moderator (Dale) at 124/5116. Also Dennis Rivard is Co-Moderator his
  39. say so also law. However it's been nice that I've had to go into
  40. "Moderator has a Big Stick" mode only twice now.

  50. Well it started with Van Holland (the sysop), his buddies Dale
  51. Springfield, JC DeMars, and his girlfreind Gwen Pearson all cutting up
  52. together.  Sav got in on the fun, then me (Dale's girlfriend).  then it
  53. spread a county or so over, no longer being a Denton Tx exclusive.
  54. Then when Gwen moved to Phoenix, JC or someone put it on the Fido
  55. backbone so Gwen could still flirt with Van in public mail (they
  56. always loved doing that) and not pay long distance.  Then Gwen and Van
  57. dropped out of the picture, Dale basically has (but he claims he's still
  58. lurking in the shadows), and you can witness the results today.

  60.     The only basic rules are 1) no handles
  61. 2) wear underwear (dale put that one on to hastle me, I think) and 3) no
  62. malicious slams.  The echo started as a free speech area, with disclaimers
  63. all over the place, saying that if you're squeemish or uptight, you need
  64. to stay away cuz people speak honestly here.  About any topic we choose.
