  1. The following is a list of software designed and written by Kevin Cummins
  2. of Crimson Cross BBS:

  4. FILE-X   (FILEXxx.ZIP)
  5.          Utility to help nodes (or individuals) extract files that have
  6.          been included in .QWK network mail packets. Can be added to
  7.          nightly mail runs, to look for file sends from the host system,
  8.          and if found, extracts them. FILE-X also writes a report in plain
  9.          ascii format that can be used as a notification of any files
  10.          received. Spitfire sysops have the added option of having a report
  11.          sent directly to the SF message base.
  12.  
  13. SFPJ     (SFPJxx.ZIP)
  14.          Pre-Jetmail Utility for Spitfire operators. Sets up file sends to
  15.          .QWK users. Especially helpful for Hub/Node relations regarding
  16.          file distribution via the Jetmail .QWK format . Very easy setup,
  17.          sendit type maintenance utility, etc.
  18.  
  19. SFCMB    (SFCMBxx.ZIP)
  20.          Spitfire Clean Message Base Utility. Scans the message base for
  21.          profane, or unwanted text, and either marks the message for
  22.          Deletion, or masks the offensive text with the '*' character.
  23.          Action is sysop-configurable. The message body is scanned, as well
  24.          as TO:, FROM:, and SUBJECT: fields in the message header.
  25.  
  26. DIR2SF   (DIR2SFxx.ZIP)
  27.          Convert program to convert PCB Dir1, Dir2, Dir3, etc. file listing
  28.          commonly found on CD-ROM disks to the Spitfire one-line format.
  29.          Sets these up for your SF file base, or for use with a door
  30.          program such as SF-ROM.
  31.  
  32. FI2SF    (FI2SFxx.ZIP)
  33.          Convert program to convert FILES.BBS directory listings to the
  34.          one-line Spitfire format. This utility is designed to handle those
  35.          listings that DO NOT have file sizes or dates, and inserts such at
  36.          run time.
  37.  
  38. NETSTAT  (NSTATxx.ZIP)
  39.          Bulletin Generator for Sysops that echo Netmail. This utility lists
  40.          the date & time of the last successful mail run, and also includes
  41.          the number of messages imported and exported on each run. The
  42.          current version (1.2) supports Postlink, PcRelay, Jnet, Tnet. Can
  43.          also be used with others in a generic mode.

  45. SPITSTAT (SPITSTxx.ZIP)
  46.          Spitfire-specific Statistical Bulletin Generator that creates
  47.          general system usage bulletins for your SF BBS. Supports up to
  48.          28.8 connections, door usage, etc.
  49.  
  50. LOTABULL (LBULLxx.ZIP)
  51.          Statistical Bulletin Generator that can be use for many purposes,
  52.          with virtually any BBS software. Can do reports such as general
  53.          system usage, door usage, message conference reports, etc. A
  54.          configuration utility is also included for easy setup.
  55.  
  56. DSADJ    (DSADJxx.ZIP)
  57.          A utility designed to adjust security level temporarily for doors
  58.          that use DOOR.SYS. This was written as a special purpose utility
  59.          to allow certain users access into certain message conferences
  60.          thru the JETMAIL door, but can be used anywhere temporary security
  61.          level adjustment would be an alternative to revamping or adding
  62.          additional security levels on your BBS.
  63.  
  64. FILESTAT  (FS-xx.ZIP)
  65.          Another Spitfire-specific utility designed to add a line
  66.          to file descriptions like:
  67.  
  68.             *Files:  7  Oldest-02/28/93  Newest-02/28/93
  69.  
  70.          It 'peeks' inside ZIP or ARJ files, extracts file dates, total
  71.          number of files, and appends this information to the end of
  72.          descriptions in your SFFILES.BBS files. Also includes a utility to
  73.          remove itself (or other appended information by other utilities).

  75. SFOFP    (SFOFPxx.ZIP)
  76.          Spitfire Specific utility to help the sysop clean out old files
  77.          from the SF File Areas. SFOFP 'looks' inside each ZIP or ARJ file
  78.          in your SFFILES listing, and determines the NEWEST file date
  79.          inside the archive. It then compares that date against one that
  80.          you supply at runtime as a standard. If that file is
  81.          older than your set standard, that file is then either MOVED to an
  82.          oldfile subdirectory, or DELETED. You determine whether to move,
  83.          or delete, at runtime. SFOFP also saves file descriptions for any
  84.          files that are moved, for future reference. SFOFP can be run in
  85.          batch mode for system events.
  86.  
  87. GOODRUN  (GOODRUN.ZIP)
  88.          Returns 3 different error levels, based on file size of a specified
  89.          file. This was designed to be used on mail runs to be able to
  90.          distinguish between 'successful' runs, *barely* 'successful' runs,
  91.          or failed runs, and pass errorlevel to allow branching in the run
  92.          batch file. The intent here was to keep your mail run bulletins
  93.          from updating if there wasnt sufficient message flow. I don't
  94.          consider importing 1 message successful when you normally would
  95.          import 500, do you? This utility is uncluded in the NETSTAT
  96.          package. This program has numerous other possiblities.
  97.  
  98. SFSNS    (SFSNSxx.ZIP)
  99.          Spitfire Sysop Notification System. This SF utility reads the
  100.          Callers.log for important sysop-specifed information, and then
  101.          imports a message into the message base reporting any positive
  102.          findings. SFSNS keeps you from having to constantly monitor the
  103.          callers.log to stay informed of whatever is most important to you.
  104.          You might miss an entry, but SFSNS won't! Works great for CD-ROM
  105.          requests, New Users added, security level changes, files uploaded
  106.          to Sysop Only, Questionairre (Order) Menu responses, and much
  107.          more.
  108.  
  109. PAGETOGL (PAGETOGL.ZIP)
  110.          Spitfire-specific utility to toggle the Page feature on & off at
  111.          scheduled times through your system events.
  112.  
  113. SFBBLTRV (SFBBLTRV.ZIP)
  114.           Bible Trivia door in the traditional Spitfire format, written in
  115.           conjunction with Buffalo Creek Software. Has a 1000 question
  116.           database.
  117.
