\yeOptions\no displays a variety of information about your account on the BBS. It
lists the dates of your first and last logons, your access levels and time
limits, the amount of uploading and downloading you have done, and the
information you gave about yourself when you logged in.
If you are using an ANSI compatible terminal, you can press the up and
down arrow keys to select a field (as indicated by the highlight bar), and
edit it with the usual cursor keys (left, right, DEL, etc.), pressing ESC or
Ctrl-Z when done. If you make a mistake, F2 or Ctrl-U restores a field's
original value. Non-ANSI users can change fields by responding to the prompt
with the proper field number.
\yeLocation, System Type, Phone Number\no - Change these alphabetic fields as
desired. Note that your phone number is visible only by the Sysop.
\yePassword\no - For security, your password is not displayed, but can be
changed by typing a new password over the "Not Shown" message.
\yeHelp Level\no - Select Novice, Intermediate, or Expert help level by
pressing the spacebar. Searchlight displays more menus and online help
messages in Novice mode, fewer such messages in Intermdiate, and none when
Expert mode is used.
\yeAnsi Compatibility\no - This option configures the Searchlight full screen
text editor for one of three possible modes of operation. Select Full if
your terminal is fully ANSI compatible, ProComm if you are using ProComm or
Telix communications software, or Generic if your terminal is only minimally
ANSI-compatible.
\yeScreen Length\no - This field defines the number of lines that will be
printed before the "more" prompt is generated. Set your screen length to
zero if you want to disable "more" prompting.
\yeFile List Format\no - Determines whether you will see long or short
file descriptions in the Files section. If set to "Long" or "Short", you'll
see only that type of listing. If set to "Prompt", the files system will
prompt you for the desired listing at each opportunity.
