The \yeMail\no command is used to send private messages to other users, and to
read the private messages that other users send to you.
To use the mail facility, execute the Mail command. This will present
you with a short menu of mail subcommands. The commands are:
\yeRead\no - This options lets you read your mail, if you have any. Each
message in your private mailbox is displayed in sequence. After reading a
message, a prompt appears with options to reply to the message, re-read it,
forward it (send a copy of the message to another user or a public message
subboard), and delete it. Please remember that all messages in your mailbox
are private and addressed to you, therefore, mail should be deleted as soon
as you are finished with it.
\yeSend\no - Allows you to send a message to another user. You must type the
name of a user who is logged into the system, otherwise the command cannot
proceed. You need not type the user's full name; you may type the first few
characters, and the bbs will locate all users with matching names and prompt
you for the correct one.
\yeNew\no - This command works like \yeRead\no, except that only new messages are
presented for reading.
\yeFind\no - Locates messages matching a particular search string. The search
is case insensitive and matches the sender's name or subject text.
\yeList\no - Displays the messages in your mailbox starting from a particular
date, and showing the sender, date, and subject of each. You can choose a
message from the list and start reading your mail from that message on.
\yeInquire\no - Allows you to examime the mail you've sent to another user.
If your mail has not yet been received, you can edit it or delete it from
the other user's mailbox.
\yePurge\no - Brings up a submenu of purge options. You can purge (delete)
all mail in your mailbox, all "old" messages from a particular date, all
messages to which you have already replied, or all mail in your log file (if
mail logging is active). The system will ask for confirmation before
beginning the purge.
