│ Intelec PPE PCBoard 15.1 PPE Intelec Network PPE <Freeware> │
└────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
What is Intelec PPE? - It's a complete online "database" utilizing the
IN_yymm.ZIP and INB_yymm.ZIP files from the Intelec Network (only the
very best QWK/FTS/FTP network ever). It searches/displays the nodelist
scans the conference listing by conference type, text etc. It displays
our other files as well, such as the network rules, the readthis file,
conference changes and more. It can scan for hubs by state, area code,
software, modem type, etc. Or it can scan the entire nodelist for the
very same criteria. Also added is the ability to flag or download the
current IN_yymm.ZIP and INB_yymm.ZIP files. Intelec PPE KNOWS which is
the "current file" based on the current date. Each month, Intelec PPE
updates itself to display the correct file name for flag or download.
And as always, the Intelec PPE serves as an "application generator"!
SysOps running PCB ver 15.1 can use INTELEC.PPE installed in CMD.LST.
This PPE is the main one, the second is the "application generation"
portion of this PPE and is called INTELAPP.PPE. If you enable the app-
lication feature of Intelec PPE (see config file) then all you need to
do is place this PPE in the "same directory" as the above INTELEC.PPE.
INTELEC.PPE calls INTELAPP.PPE automatically if you have this enabled.
Command Security PPE/MNU File -or- Keystroke Replacement
======= ======== ========================================
INTELEC ?? F:\IN\INTELEC.PPE
If you are still experiencing memory constraints, try installing the
INTELAPP.PPE in CMD.LST as a separate command. But the PPE MUST be in
the same directory as the INTELEC.PPE.
If you're an international member using the DD-MM-YY date format, then
place the letter I on commandline in CMD.LST like: F:\IN\INTELEC.PPE I
The Intelec PPE Config file: INTELEC.CNF
Intelec Online <- (Your BBS's Name)
CLIFF WATKINS <- (Your (SysOp) Name but use all CAPS here!)
38 <- (Regionals # on your BBS, 0 if not a hub)
Y <- Enables application feature (N to disable)
D:\PPE\IN\APPLFORM.IN <- \
D:\PPE\IN\NETRULES.IN <- \
D:\PPE\IN\CONFLIST.IN <- \
D:\PPE\IN\NODELIST.IN <- / - - IN_yymm.ZIP distribution file.
D:\PPE\IN\CHANGES!.IN <- /
D:\PPE\IN\READTHIS.IN <- /
D:\PPE\IN\INTELEC.LST <- This is the master app list file.
D:\PPE\IN\INTELEC.ANS <- This is the temporary answer file.
D:\PCB\INB\ <- Location of IN Basket Files (or N for None)
On the last line of the INTELEC.CNF file (13) you can place 1 of 2
things on this line. If you want to place Intelec's IN Basket files
on your board, but they are in a different directory than our other
distribution files, you can place the path to the IN Basket files on
this line (include a trailing backslash). If you do not wish to have
the IN Basket files available for display through INTELEC.PPE, then
place an N on this line.
Intelec PPE posts a PRIVATE message to the SysOp on their Main Board.
Intelec PPE posts a PUBLIC message in the Intelec Regional conference.
We strongly urge you to place the name INTAPP into your PCB TCAN list.
If you are a Hub, number of Regionals conf on line 3 and Y on line 4.
If you are a Node, place a 0 on line 3 and N on line 4 of config file.
New in version 4.5
Recompiled under PPLC v3.0 for PCB 15.2. PCB 15.1 no longer supported.
New in version 4.4, modified to reflect the fact that Intelec is now a
FREE network. $35 membership/application fee is dropped.
New in version 4.3, no longer uses external color files. Too many of
the features asked for have really bloated the code and caused some
folks to have a memory shortage problem. So many of the screens are no
longer hard coded into the PPE and you can color them any way you like.
But... you must NOT change the order of any of the "options" within
the screen itself or incorrect data will be the result! And the display
screens must be in the same directory as the PPE's themselves. Also,
the names of the display files must not be changed unless of course
you add G for ANSI, R for RIP, ## for sec levels, etc.
New in version 4.2, updated for classification of v.34 modems and new
wcECHO and wcGATE net software (Wildcat).
New in version 4.1, updated for an IN Basket format change. No other
major changes made. A new IN Basket file is made called NEWS_NET.INB.
Fixed bug where it looked for an INTELAPP.CNF file, now it just needs
the INTELEC.CNF file (only) and not an INTELAPP.CNF file as well.
New in version 4.0, updated for (another) NODELIST.IN format change.
New in version 3.9, both INTELEC.PPE and INTELAPP.PPE now update the
PCBoard Usernet file to display what is being "run" on that node. It
gets specific as to the database, application and IN Basket features.
Lastly, this release requires you to rename the IN Basket file from a
.IN extension to an .INB extension.
New in version 3.8, Updated for our July NODELIST.IN format changes,
also updated approved BBS software, modem types, FTS software, etc.
Also, changes to INTELEC.CNF file, rename MISTAKES.IN to READTHIS.IN
and delete the line with file ABOUT_IN.IN, it is combined with above
READTHIS.IN file. Added line to bottom of CNF file for the path to the
IN Basket files so IntelApp PPE can display them as well.
New in version 3.7, Updated for our June CONFLIST.IN format changes,
also updated all approved software, modem types, net software, etc.
New in version 3.6, fixed a bug where non-hubs could not disable the
application module. Now the "N" on line 4 of the CNF file is working.
Also, removed the F)lag menu option as it appears to be a bug in the
compiler. We'll add it back if we can and if there's requests for it.
New in version 3.5, modified search totals to display more detailed
info when scanning for hubs. Also changed the way applications are
processed as far as the to and from fields.
New in version 3.4, Added host system as option for satellite SysOps!
Added more detailed search options.
