CP-MFM4.10 (Message File Mover)
For WildCat 4.10->
CP-MFM4.10 allows you to move the .DAT/.IX/.DIA/.CRC files associated with
specific conferences. SysOps find if they reduce the number of conferences
per sub-directory that TOSSING/SCANNING of network mail is significantly
sped up!
CP-MFM4.10 will allow you to select conferences and move the files to new
locations. It will also update the WildCat configuration data files so
they reflect these changes.
Preparation:
────────────
Since changes are made to WildCat system files, ALL NODES MUST BE DOWN!!!
NOTE: You should also make a backup of the following files:
CONFDESC.DAT
MSG*.DAT/.IX/.CRC/.DIA (Conferences you plan to move.)
Usage:
──────
Execute CP-MFM4.EXE. It will try to determine the HOME location of WildCat,
and if succesful you simply confirm so by pressing the [ENTER] key. Otherwise
provide the HOME directory and press the [ENTER] key.
Before you can actually TAG areas for movement, you MUST provide the NEW PATH
that you are moving the files to. If it doesn't already exist, you'll be asked
if you want it created.
The status line on the bottom shows the current PATH of each conference as you
scroll through the menu. This will help you determine which areas you might
want to mved, or confirm others have already been moved.
Simply TAG the areas you want moved, then press F10. Once that request has been
satisfied, you can move additional areas.
