  1. Charge Master v1.2 - This is a "quick-up" doc for those who want to get
  2. up and running as soon as possible, or who are allergic to reading docs!
  3. If you do run into problems, please refer to CHGMAST.DOC for detailed
  4. installation steps (or call the home bbs).  The unregistered version will
  5. not run after 01/31/95!!!

  7. UPGRADING?
  8. ==========
  9. If you are upgrading from a previous version of Charge Master it is VERY 
  10. important that you make the changes in the CHGMAST.CFG file to reflect
  11. the new format.  These are subtle but important changes (Refer to the
  12. UPGRADE.DOC for the new format).  If you had been using the TABS option,
  13. please run the FIXTABS.EXE from the same directory that CHGMAST.TAB is in
  14. and follow the instructions that will be displayed.

  21. REGISTER TXT  : Mail in Registration form
  22. CHGMAST  CFG !: Charge Master configuration
  23. WARNING1 BBS !: 1st Dragon BBS warning screen
  24. WARNING2 BBS !: 2st Dragon BBS warning screen
  25. OPTION1  TXT ?: Extended description for 1st access level setup in .CFG file
  26. OPTION2  TXT ?:            "             2nd            "
  27. WELCOME  MSG ?: Welcome message that is sent to the member after they subscribe
  28. RECEIPT  HDR ?: Customizable header information for the receipt created
  29. RESTRICT CFG ?: Restrictions configuration
  30. BADNUM   LST ?: List of "bad" credit card numbers that are not acceptable
  31. BADLEVEL LST ?: List of secuity levels that do not have access to the module
  32. CHAIN    x   ?: Path & Name of WCX to run after CM based on option (x= 1-10)

  41. Quick Installation Steps
  42. ========================
  43.    1)  Create a subdirectory to hold the files (I called mine CHGMAST)
  44.    2)  Unzip the archive into this directory
  45.    3)  Edit .CFG file to reflect the settings on your bbs
  46.    4)  Create a OPTIONx.TXT file if you want to have extended descriptions
  47.        (where x is a number from 1 to 10)
  48.    5)  Edit the RECEIPT.HDR to reflect your information that the receipt
  49.        will contain.
  50.    6)  Run MAKEMENU and set up a menu option to run the .WCX code

  53. NOTE:
  54. =====
  55. The extended description files do not have to exist (OPTIONx.TXT, etc).  If
  56. they do, the user is prompted with a message asking if they would like to 
  57. view the extended description for that level.  It is important that you run
  58. the CHGMAST.WCX FROM the installed directory\where all the Charge Master
  59. support files reside (exaple: C:\WILDCAT\CHGMAST on my system). It creates
  60. the log and the charge file in that directory.
