  1. Celerity v2.02                                                    Archive Notes

  3. Celerity v2.02 is shareware.  It may be distributed freely so long as the
  4. contents of the archive are not changed.  Sysops are encouraged to put Celerity
  5. BBS online for their users to download so they may become more familiar with
  6. the BBS at their leisure.

  8. This Celerity BBS v2.02 distribution package consists of the following
  9. files:

  11. CEL202-1.ZIP  :  Main Celerity BBS v2.02 Program Files.
  12. CEL202-2.ZIP  :  Support files including CELSETUP.EXE and CelerityText files.
  13. CEL202-3.ZIP  :  Celerity BBS v2.02 Pre-release Documentation.
  14. CEL202-4.ZIP  :  Selected third-party utilities (some beta) for Celerity v2.02.
  15. CEL202-5.ZIP  :  Additional files needed for Celerity BBS demonstration.
  16. INSTALL .EXE  :  Menu-driven installation program for Celerity BBS v2.02.
  17. FILE_ID .DIZ  :  Description for BBS importation.
  18. FILE_ID .CLR  :  Description for BBS importation by color-aware BBS software.
  19. REGISTER.DOC  :  Celerity BBS Registration information.
  20. READ    .ME   :  This file.

  22. There are a couple of additional archives containing additional
  23. Celerity-related material:

  25. CEL202SP.ZIP  :  Celerity v2.02 Supplement.  Includes additional utilities,
  26.                  language files, and menus.
  27. CEL202DB.ZIP  :  Celerity v2.02 DigiBoard supplement.
  28. CEL202FS.ZIP  :  Celerity v2.02 FOSSIL supplement (Celerity will run fine with
  29.                  a FOSSIL driver in memory.  If you require Celerity to use
  30.                  the FOSSIL for communication, you need this package.)
  31. CEL202XT.ZIP  :  Celerity v2.02 XT supplement (to run on 8088/8086/V10 cpu).
  32. CEL202LD.ZIP  :  Celerity v2.02 Language Development Kit.
  33. CEL202SD.ZIP  :  Celerity v2.02 Software (utility) Development Kit.

  35. It is strongly recommended that all of the above files be copied to a directory
  36. on your hard drive and the INSTALL program run.  Install a demo copy to the
  37. c:\celerity directory (for maximum compatibility with the demonstration setup),
  38. and go from there.  Sysops upgrading from previous versions should view the
  39. UPGRADE.DOC file.  All sysops should review the documentation.

  41. Please note that a number of third-party utilities have been included with this
  42. pre-release.  Most of these utilities have already been installed in the online
  43. menu accessible by hitting F5 from within the BBS or the Wait For Call screen,
  44. but there are a couple of others still archived in the UTIL directory.
  45. Although a couple of these utilities are freeware, many of them are third-party
  46. shareware products and require a nominal registration fee if you decide to
  47. continue using them.  The full utility packages, as well as additional
  48. utilities, will be available for download from the Celerity support systems.

  50. Additional third-party utilities may be found in the CEL202SP.ZIP (Celerity
  51. v2.02 Supplement) package.  These utilities could not fit in the release
  52. archive.

  54. The complete Celerity v2.02 documentation is in a file named CELERITY.DOC in
  55. the CEL202-3.ZIP archive.  This document is formatted for 66 lines/page, and
  56. some printers (particularly lasers) will require a parameter change if printed
  57. directly from DOS.

  59. Celerity BBS updates, utilities, CelerityText files, support, etc. may be
