  5.                     INSTALLATION/UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

  8.   **** This version of The Blue Wave Mail Door has been shipped with a
  9.        file called BWDOOR.USE.  This is a text file tutorial that can be
  10.        put online for users to download.  A full explanation of the use of
  11.        The Blue Wave Mail Door is contained within this file, along with
  12.        tips, tricks, and hints on effective usage.

  15.   NEW INSTALLATIONS
  16.   -----------------
  17.   The procedure for new installations is outlined in BWMAIL.DOC, enclosed
  18.   with this archive.

  21.   UPGRADING FROM V2.00 to V3.00
  22.   -----------------------------
  23.   If you have installed The Blue Wave Mail Door for Maximus v2.00, you must
  24.   run the conversion program 200to300.EXE from your main BLUEWAVE
  25.   directory. The BWMAIL.PRM file structures have changed since the v2.00
  26.   public release.

  28.   After running the conversion program, be sure to copy the entire contents
  29.   of BWMAIL.ZIP into your BLUEWAVE directory.  There are no files contained
  30.   within that archive that should not be replaced. New help screens and
  31.   .EXE files are enclosed.  You can delete the file 200to300.EXE after you
  32.   have executed the conversion program.

  34.   After conversion, you may also delete BWDUPES.DAT.  The mail door no
  35.   longer uses this file to track duplicate messages.  A new file called
  36.   BWDUPES.IDX will be created to handle duplicate messages.

  38.   Please read the WHATSNEW.300 file to become familiar with all of the new
  39.   features and functions in The Blue Wave Mail Door.  You will need to
  40.   carefully examine the fields with the BWUTILS setup program to verify
  41.   that all new options are set to your liking.
