The game is fairly easy to setup and install. Create a directory on
your drive to hold the files and copy all the files to that directory.
Then create a menu entry for the game similar to the following entry:
Entry:
[4] Corners
Priv=10 A1=-------- A2=-------- A3=-------- A4=-------- ANS=X IBM=X
key=4 Type=200 OptData=C:\GAMES\4CORNERS\4CORNERS
The program uses 1 database, CONTROL.DBF. This is the only file
(besides 4CORNERS.TPG) that is needed for the program to work.
If you have purchased the program you will have received an
additional database that contains your registration key. Please do not
delete this database. Without this database the program will run in
demo mode.
When the program is operating in demo mode it will display the word
DEMO on the opening menu and the word unregistered. Players can only
move 10 times while the game is in demo mode and the high scores will
not be displayed.
The sysop has the ability to reset the top ten scores in the game.
The game of 4 corners is sort of a flat version of Rubic's cube. The
object of the game is to move all of the same colored blocks into one of
the 4 corners in the least amount of moves. For example when you have
completed the game all the blue blocks will be in one corner, all the
green ones in another, etc. It doesn't matter which corner they are in
as long as like blocks are in the same corner. Every game is solvable.
It's simply a matter of understanding how the blocks move and not making
mistakes.
Each row and column can be moved forwards and backwards using letters,
numbers and symbols.
