  6. SoftCalculator is a powerful calculator with standard,
  7. scientific, financial, extended, and statistical modes. 
  8. SoftCalculator is a great replacement for the standard
  9. Windows calculator. It includes over over 100 built-in
  10. functions which are similar to those found in Microsoft
  11. Excel, and you can use the same syntax as an Excel cell
  12. for entering equations. Most parameters are flexible, so
  13. that any number, integer or real, can be used. It features
  14. entry from the keyboard or mouse, standard Windows
  15. copy/paste Clipboard functions, and more.

  20. Powerful!! Yeah, yeah, if I hear one more author describing
  21. thier program as "powerful" I think I'll puke.  What the
  22. hell does that mean anyways??  I toyed with it a bit.
  23. It's a calculator that toggles into different interfaces    
  24. for different tasks such as the "Standard" calculator
  25. view vs. "Financial" view.  Small, straightforward,
  26. fast, and won't make those of us without graduate degrees
  27. in mathematics feel overwhelmed (like an idiot).

  33. Instructions:
  34. =============
  35. Step #1       Unzip  "calc10-c.exe" to the folder where you currently
  36.               have SOFTCALC.EXE (the SoftCalc program).
  37.  
  38. **IMPORTANT**  I've found that the program executable is sometimes
  39.                distrubuted with the name CALC.EXE instead of
  40.                SOFTCALC.EXE.  The patcher will look for a file
  41.                called "SoftCalc.exe" so if you happen to download
  42.                one with a different name, you'll need to rename the
  43.                file before patching.  Afterwards you can name it
  44.                "Diddle-diddle-pumpkin-my-son-John.exe" if you want.

  46. Step #2       Double click on "calc10-c.exe"
  47.  
  48. Step #3       Delete "calc10-c.exe" if you want to.
  49.  
  50. What the patch does: Patches the program executable.  Patching is process
  51.                      that involves changing the value of some of the program
  52.                      bytes in a way that "neutralizes" or bypasses the
  53.                      program's protection.

  56. Notes: DO NOT expect this patch to work on ANY other version of
  57.        SoftCalc v1.00!!!   It works ONLY on version 1.00
