ISP Dialer v1.21 *Evaluation Extender"
A couple of Windows .REG files that will
renew your evaluation period and optionally
enter a name of your choice in the ABOUT box.
Description: Automated Dialup Networking Tool that will dial
your ISP, log you on, open your internet apps
for you, etc. Not a new idea but it seems like
a solid little program.
Download: http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~hbc/Dialer/ispd121.zip
Homepage: http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~hbc/Dialer/
1. Unzip the two .REG files to your hard drive (anywhere).
2. Double clicking on "renew.reg" will start the evaluation period
over without losing any of your DUN settings. ReRun this file
whenever the program expires.
3. The "username.reg" can be used to make the program display your
name in the about box. Open the file with a text editor such as
Notepad and replace the following text:
"Your Name Goes Here"
with whatever name you'd like.
4. Save the .REG file
5. Double click on the .REG file
NOTE: I was initially asked to figure out how to enter tHATDUDE's
previously released registration number (for v1.20) into the
program in order to get the thing regged. Although that
particular code is still effective for this newer version, it
appears to be a TEMPORARY registration that will eventualy
expire. I'm not sure if the same was true of the earlier
version or if this is a change made by the author. In any
case, I couldn't find a copy of v1.20 to experiment with so
I won't be forthcoming with any insights on this matter.
I believe that the valid permanent registration numbers for
this program are: 45ds6sd & sd4389a
but again, I couldn't figure out how to enter them for testing.
I suggest you flag down that, that, that....tHATDUDE and ask
him to have a looksie.
Until then, this should suffice since the program is nag-free
and uncrippled as long as it's not expired.
