  3. DOWNLOADABLE UNIT - CORE TOASTER

  5. CORE TOASTER - UNIT DESCRIPTION
  6. When engaged, the CORE Toaster is an effective base defense 
  7. against attacking enemy units.  When not firing, the Toaster
  8. retracts into the ground.  In this retracted state, the 
  9. Toaster has enough armor to survive a nuclear attack. 
  10. The Toaster requires 2146 metal and 12687 energy and 
  11. can be built by advanced construction airplanes, 
  12. vehicles and KBots.

  15. INSTALLING THE NEW UNIT
  16. After downloading the new unit, double-click to extract
  17. the unit file.  The unit file (unitname.UFO) will be
  18. placed in the c:\cavedog\Totala folder unless otherwise 
  19. specified.  The unit file must be located in the same 
  20. directory as Totala.exe.  After the unit is installed, 
  21. it will appear on the appropriate build menus the next time 
  22. the game is launched.

  24. **You must have Total Annihilation version 1.2 BETA 1 or 
  25. greater in order to use a downloaded unit.  You can download
  26. the most recent patch for Total Annihilation from 
  27. www.totalannihilation.com.**

  29. USING THE NEW UNIT
  30. After having installed v1.2 BETA 1 or greater as well as the 
  31. new unit file, the downloaded unit will be available on the 
  32. build menus in Skirmish and Multiplayer mode.  The new unit 
  33. will not be available while playing missions.

  35. When using the new unit in a multi-player game, all players
  36. must have the downloaded unit installed.  If one player
  37. does not have the new unit available to them, none of the
  38. other players will be able to use the new unit for that 
  39. multi-player game.
