  24. INTRODUCTION
  25. ------------
  26. This is a compilation of known cheat codes, tips, strategies, and
  27. playing guides for software (both U.S. and foreign) available for
  28. the Sega Master System.  It also contains some minor trivia, such
  29. as Sound Test codes, 3-D to 2-D codes, and instruction manual
  30. corrections.  You're welcome.  :-)

  32. The compilation is divided into two sections -- this Read Me file
  33. and the Primary list.  The Primary is divided into 6 sections 
  34. (currently) and contains all the actual codes, strategies, and 
  35. gameplay guides.  The Read Me file lists the contents, updates to the 
  36. Primary listing (saving download time and such), plus other information 
  37. such as a list of planned future updates, corrections, sources, etc...

  42. (well...; technically), foreign divisions, or any affilations.

  47. Ummm...; I don't know, really.  Currently, all the tips and
  48. cheats (minus this Read Me file) contained within this guide are 
  49. Copyright (C) Sega of America (with permission from the original 
  50. author of the files to compile them for the Internet).  Considering 
  51. this is an "open" guide (i.e. every bit ready for submissions), the 
  52. current copyright notice is sure to change.

  54. We'll be nice and label everything as Copyright (C) their
  55. respective owners.  You write it, it's copyrighted -- been the
  56. law for a while now, after all.  'Course, by submitting anything
  57. to this compilation, you're giving permission to have it
  58. distributed as part of the SMS "Cheats" file, as well as possibly
  59. edited by the maintainer (me) and modified in the future with
  60. any new material that may arrive.

  63. it'll be the same next time the compilation is updated.  Alright?

  70. You've got 6 Primaries and this Read Me file.  You can find 
  71. 'em at Andy Eddy's Video Game FAQ archive or thru the SMS Mailing 
  72. List.

  74. BUT -- for those with less time and even less of a download
  75. quota, there's the other alternative.  Instead of the entire
  76. collection, updates will be distributed with this Read Me file,
  77. which will save bandwidth and all.  Once you have the Primaries, 
  78. you need only retrieve the Read Me file each month, and add
  79. the material to the Primaries you have on hand.  Of course, the
  80. Primaries will be updated as well, so no worries there.
