- New stuff
-
- 1995
- -40 June 21-May 20
- 1) version is now 4, for 424
- ^
-
- 2) Changed all kinds of stuff... No more lpbuilder and some other stuff.
-
- 3) Notice the new search feature. You can now build search conditions
- using the &, |, and ! operators.
-
-
- 1994
- -22e June 21
- 1) Fixed a bug in the sysop configuration to correctly let you specify the
- color of the 'found' text
-
- -22d June 17
- 1) Speed up the file listing some
-
- -22b&c April 28
- 1) Allows you to justify you items to the right
-
- A) Configurable listing. Allows each user to define his own file list, or
- use any number of lists that the sysop has defined.
- B) Sysop commands, including Delete, Move, and Rename
- C) Sysop configuration at runtime (in the sysop command menu)
- (The colors and previous things that were defines)
-
- Be sure to look for the all new LPBUILDER, a visual menu builder for listplus,
- as it is now, it uses either the full screen editor, or interal edit to
- edit them. With the builder, you visually see what you are building, as
- you are building it...
-
-
- -22a March 5, 1994 --- Sorry, but I want more
- Configurable listing. Allows each user to define his own file list, or use
- any number of lists that the sysop has defined.
- Sysop commands, including Delete, Move, and Rename.
-
- -21d Febuary 15, 1994
- Changed some defines around, added support so that when you search, it will
- colorize the found text wherever it was found.
-
-
- -21c Febuary 10, 1994
- Cosmetic changes here and there, including a few parts inspired by Spotnick.
- Nothing major.
-
- -21b Who knows...
- Bug fix here and there, including changing a certain spot that allocates
- 12k off the stack (which is only 15k by default), that, mixed with my pulldown
- menus which allocated 6k off the stack twice, then calling this, send it into
- cpu heaven.
-
- For the big improvment, extended descriptions are now shown, for a true
- vision/2 style file listing.
-
- Finally, for viewing files, if AVIEWCOM.EXE exists in your BBS dir, then it
- will use that to view files instead of the internal arc viewer. (BTW, it
- has alot of great features, and you can turn off its ability for a user to
- download a single file out of an archive)
-
- Older stuff not recorded
-
-
- Future:
- I am tired of upgrading ListPlus, I think just about everything is in there
- that is needed, maybe a fix for found bugs and maybe another one after that
- <Grin>, of course, upgrades to future wwiv versions.
-
-
- What is listfiles plus?
- File listing mod (including finddescription, searchall, newfiles and listing)
- that will show the files and at the bottom of the screen have a lotus style
- menu which you control with the arrow keys. These items control the files
- above which you can select with the up and down arrows.
-
- Commands included are Next (continue file list), Prev (Previous files listed),
- Mark (put file in batch queue), View (archive view), Info (give full info on
- file), Download, Batch Menu, +Dir (go up a dir), -Dir.
-
- Also, Searching is extended, this search method is based on what I saw on
- Wildcat! software, where you can not only choose say text to find in the
- description, you can also define a wildcard spec, and a date to search by on
- on the same pass. Also, searching extended descriptions is optional, and
- last, if you define text to search, say WWIV, it will also compare that to
- file name, so say, TAGWWIV.ZIP will be found because it has 'WWIV' in the
- filename.
-
- And a couple of small enhancements to go with it, such as when you choose
- the download option, if you have files in your batch queue, it will first
- ask you if you want to download the files in your batch queue, and only
- proceede as normal if you select No.
-
- Also, for viewing files, if you have AVIEWCOM.EXE, (in your bbs dir), it will
- use that to view the archive selected.
-
-
- In past versions, there were a number of defines you had to setup to taylor
- the way Listplus worked for you. Now this is accomplised through a sysop
- config part of ListPlus.
-
- To get to this menus, hit 'L'istfiles, then select 'S'ysop, and from that
- menu, 'C'onfig.
-
-
- A] Non-selected 'highlighted' color
- This is the color of the text that is not your current item, and it only
- pertains to the first character (the hot key character)
-
- B] Non-selected color
- This is the color of the text that is not your current item.
-
- C] Selected 'highlighted' color
- This is the color of the text that is your current item, and it only pertains
- to the first character (the hot key character)
-
- D] Non-selected color
- This is the color of the text that is the current item you are on
-
- E] Color of the '■' when file is tagged
- This is the color of that little box that pops up when you have a file
- selected in the batch queue
-
- F] color of the file number
- Colr that the current file number will be
-
- G] Found text foreground
- If you have colorize found text, this is the color the text that was
- searched for and found will be (foreground only)
-
- H] Found background color
- Like the found text foreground, but for the background
-
- I] The color of the current file
- When moving up and down with the arrow keys, this is the color that the
- file number will be when moving up and down to let you know where you are
- currently at
-
- J] Max screen lines to show...
- This is from the previous fix for lamers, for users who say they have 25
- lines when they are using a term program that uses up 1 or two of those
- lines, thus leaving them with either 24 or 23 real lines.
-
- If you set this to say 24, it will help out the lamers, but for people who
- have there screen set to 50 lines, they will only get a half a screen of
- data
-
- K] Min extended lines to show
- This is to MAKE the extended descriptions show up, even for users who know
- nothing about how to setup there extended descriptions
-
- L] Fast New scan
- Toggels it either off or on to do a fast scan... by the time you read this,
- this will probley be worthless, but I am sure it will be 10 more releases
- before I revise the docs again
-
- M] Request file
- Toggles on or off. If on, if the users tries to add a file to the batch
- queue that is not on disk, you will get a SSM set to you requesting the
- file be put online
-
- N] Colorize found text
- Toggles on or off. This is mainly for the fact that I have had problems
- with this in the past, I think I have the bugs fixed, but if you find that
- this tends to lock your board up, turn it off until I get you a fix
-
- O] Search extended
- Toggles on or off. This does two diffrent things, first there are two search
- screens, a simple and complex one, in a simple search, it will search the
- extended description depending on this value, if you have it off, it wont,
- if you have it on, it will, in the complex search, this simple sets the
- default search extended to either off or on, and lets the user toggle it
- from there
-
-
-
- Also, while in the sysop side of the list menu, there are three other new
- commands to go along with the config, they are DELETE, RENAME, and MOVE.
- They should be self expanatory. But they work on both a batch list, so you
- can mark files and move or delete them, or if you don't have any files in your
- batch queue, it will work on the current file you have under the cursor.
