  1.           The following is a bill rumored to have been
  2.           introduced in the 1990 session of the Georgia
  3.           General Assembly.
  4.           ==============================================
  5.  
  6. To amend part 1 of Chapter 3 of title 27 of the Official Code... relating to 
  7. hunting wildlife, so as to provide for hunting
  8. attorneys,...to repeal conflicting laws and for other purposes.
  9.  
  10. 27-3-28 a. Notwithstanding any provision of the law to the con-trary, any 
  11. person in possession of a valid hunting license...may hunt or trap attorneys 
  12. for recreational, non-commercial purposes subject to the following:
  13.  
  14. 1. The taking of attorneys by deadfall is permitted; provided,however, that 
  15. the use of currency as bait is tantamount to
  16. shooting on a baited field and is prohibited.
  17.  
  18. 2. The killing of attorneys with a vehicle is prohibited;
  19. provided, however, that such limitation shall  not apply to golf carts. If 
  20. accidentally struck dead, attorneys shall be removed from the right of way 
  21. and the afflicted vehicle taken to the nearest car wash immediately.
  22.  
  23. 3. It shall be unlawful to attract attorneys for hunting purposes with calls 
  24. of "WHIPLASH " or " FREE SCOTCH " or the use of any device mimicking the 
  25. sound of a siren.
  26.  
  27. 4. It shall be unlawful to chase, herd, or harvest attorneys from an air 
  28. boat, helicopter or aircraft.
  29.  
  30. 5. It shall be unlawful to hunt attorneys within 100 yards of a BMW or 
  31. Mercedes dealership, without limitations, on Wednesday afternoons.
  32.  
  33. 6. It shall be unlawful to hunt attorneys within 200 yards of courtrooms, 
  34. law libraries, health spas, golf courses, ambulances,hospitals, or near any 
  35. accident involving public conveyances.
  36.  
  37. 7. It shall be unlawful to stage a traffic accident for the
  38. purpose of enticing attorneys for hunting purposes.
  39.  
  40. 8. It shall be unlawful for a hunter to wear a disguise as a reporter, 
  41. accident victim, physician, chiropractor, or tax
  42. accountant while hunting attorneys.
  43.  
  44. 9. In any one calendar year the following bag limits shall apply.
  45.    a. yellow bellied sidewinders-----2
  46.    b. two faced tort-teasers---------1
  47.    c. back stabbing divorce litigators----3
  48.    d. split-horned cutthroats--------2
  49.    e. insurance defense attorneys----NO LIMIT
  50.  
  51. B. None of the prohibitions in paragraph 1-9 shall apply to an attorney who 
  52. has been elected to public office, for whom the commission is authorized to 
  53. pay a bounty not to exceed $ 5 per pelt.
  54.  
  55. C. Notwithstanding any provision in this code, honest attorneys shall be 
  56. protected as an endangered species.
