- Windows 95
- ----------
- To install the animation drivers onto a system running Windows 95,
- you must go to Add New Hardware in Control Panel. Choose No when
- Windows asks whether to search for new hardware. Choose type
- "Sound, Video, and Game controllers". Click "Have Disk..." and then
- browse to the directory:
- [CD-Drive]:\anidrv\
- Choose the file oemsetup.inf and click OK. That directory should
- appear in the dialog box, and then click OK, then OK. Then click
- Finish to start the installation of files.
-
- Click OK when prompted by the animation installation. Then Windows
- will tell you that you need to reboot. Do so.
-
- Unfortunately, Windows 95 does not make all the necessary changes.
- The file [windows]\win.ini must be edited for the animations to work.
- Add the following lines beneath the [mci extensions] heading:
-
- flc=Animation1
- fli=Animation1
- aas=Animation1
-
- Now Windows should know how to play flc animations, and the program
- should work fine.
-
- Windows 3.1
- -----------
- To install under Windows 3.1, choose Drivers from the Control Panel,
- then Add, then "Unlisted or Updated". Then browse to the directory:
- [CD-Drive]:\anidrv\
- And click OK. The driver should appear, and you can click OK to
- install it.
