  19. I'd like to make people aware of the recent publication of the 3rd edition of
  20. my book "Drugs and Behavior." The 525 page book has chapters on the
  21. following: neurotransmission, principles of drug action, classification,
  22. variability in response to drugs, development of new drugs (I discuss some
  23. terrible things that drug companies do in developing & marketing drugs, &
  24. show that misprescribing is a major drug abuse problem), dangers & benefits
  25. of drugs, effects of drugs taken during pregnancy, legalization (I'm in
  26. favor of legalizing everything), users & abusers, prevention & treatment of
  27. abuse, drugs used in psychiatric practice, & drug effects on memory,
  28. creativity, sex, aggression, & sleep.

  30. Reviewers liked the previous edition. A reviewer for J. Amer. Med. Assoc.
  31. wrote "It is the sort of book that should be on everyone's reading list of
  32. basic texts and standard reference works." A reviewer for Brit. J.
  33. Psychiatry wrote "...it must be difficult to read this book without finding
  34. a new field worthy of personal pursuit." He called it a classic.
