Someone asked me about schedules of controlled substances, so here it is.
If you have any questions, mail me, but don't expect me to be your unpaid
legal clerk.

SCHEDULE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
taken from North Carolina General Statues
Chapters 90-89 to 90-94
This is a list of the six schedules of classification of controlled
substances. This list was taken from North Carolina General Statutes,
which is generally the same as in all other states. The examples given
under each category (or subcategory) have been abridged as well as some
articles, mostly because of the esoteric nature of most of the substances
listed and the lenghty legal terminology. An effort has been made to
include widely known substances in the example lists. If you have a
specific question about a certain drug, contact your local lawyer.
===========================================================================
90-89 SCHEDULE I CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES.
This schedule includes the controlled substances listed or to be listed by
whatever official name, common or usual name, chemical name, or trade name
designated. In determining that a substances comes within this schedule,
the Commission shall find: a high potential for abuse, no currently
accepted medical use in the United States, or a lack of accepted safety
for use in treatment under medical supervision. The following controlled
substances are included in this schedule:
(a) Any of the following opiates, including the isomers, esters,
ethers, salts and salts of isomers, esters, and ethers, unless
specifically excepted, or listed in another schedule, whenever the
exsistance of such isomers, esters, ethers, and salts is possible withing
the specific chemical designation:
