  12.  This file provides a quick introduction to FoxFire 13 for Windows, a
  13.  wee bit of legal mumbo-jumbo, and installation instructions.  It's not
  14.  intended to be an exhaustive reference to the game.  For instructions
  15.  on how to play the game, refer to the help file (FF13.HLP).

  18.  Introduction
  19.  ------------
  20.   FoxFire 13 is a solitaire game for the Microsoft Windows operating
  21.   environment.  It is based on a concept by Todd Svec, and is written
  22.   by Randy Rasa.  It's a companion piece to the popular DOS solitaire
  23.   of the same name.  It's easy to learn, but tough to win, and damned
  24.   addictive.  Give it a go!

  26.   FoxFire 13 requires Windows 3.x and VBRUN200.DLL.

  29.  How To Install FoxFire 13
  30.  -------------------------
  31.   There are no special or complicated procedures for installing the game.
  32.   The program files can be located in any convenient sub-directory on your
  33.   hard disk. The VBX and DLL files may be moved to your Windows SYSTEM
  34.   directory if you wish, though it is not required.
  35.  
  36.   To run the program, simply install it into the Program Manager (I'm not
  37.   going to explain how to do that here ... it's well-documented in the
  38.   Windows manuals and online help).  Alternately, the program may be run
  39.   from the File Manager by double-clicking on the FF13.EXE file.

  42.  Legal stuff

  45.   FoxFire 13 is shareware!  It is NOT freeware. It is NOT public domain!
  46.   As such, you can play it, copy it, and give it away as you wish.  In
  47.   fact, you are encouraged to distribute the program to friends,
  48.   family, and strangers alike.  This includes distribution via
  49.   electronic bulletin board systems (BBS), user's groups, and
  50.   disk-distribution services.  All that we ask is that the package
  51.   remains unaltered and complete, consisting of the following files:

  68.   All of the files except those marked with an asterisk (*) are required
  69.   for proper operation of FoxFire 13.  FF13.INI will be created upon
  70.   running.  WAV files may be deleted if you are not utilizing a sound
  71.   card.

  75.   Standard Limited Warranty: This software is sold "as is", without any
  76.   warranty as to performance or any other warranties whether expressed
  77.   or implied.  Because of the vast number of possible hardware and
  78.   software environments in which this software may be used, no warranty
  79.   of fitness for a particular purpose is offered.  The user assumes the
  80.   entire risk of using this program.  Any liability of the author will
  81.   be limited to product replacement or the refund of the registration
  82.   fee.

  85.  Registration
  86.  ------------
  87.   FoxFire 13 is shareware.  You may freely evaluate it for a reasonable
  88.   period (30 days).  If you continue to use it beyond the evaluation
  89.   period, you need to register it.

  91.   Registration is only $10 and gets you the following benefits:
  92.  
  93.     1. The latest version of FoxFire 13 for Windows on the diskette of
  94.        your choice (5.25" or 3.50").
  95.  
  96.     2. A registration code good for all future updates of FoxFire 13
  97.        for Windows.  This code will allow you to convert current and
  98.        future shareware versions to registered versions, getting rid of
  99.        the opening "reminder" screen in the process.
  100.  
  101.     3. More sounds!  Add some variety to the "win" and "lose" sounds
  102.        with this pack of extra sound effects.
  103.  
  104.   Let me re-emphasize that the registration code is good for all future
  105.   updates of this program.  With FoxFire 13, you're not stuck in an
  106.   endless cycle of expensive upgrades -- you register once, and that's
  107.   it.  What this essentially means is:  Free Updates!

  109.   There are three ways to print a registration form:
  110.  
  111.      1. Select the "Print Registration Form" button from the about box.
  112.  
  113.      2. Open the FF13.FRM file (included with this program) with
  114.         Window's Notepad, and print it from there.
  115.  
  116.      3. From the DOS command line type "COPY FF13.FRM PRN".
  117.  
  118.   Once the registration form is printed, simply fill it out (be sure to
  119.   select a disk size!) and send it to the address listed on the form,
  120.   along with a check, money order, or cash.  Expect your disk in about
  121.   two to three weeks.  All orders are shipped within two weeks of
  122.   receipt of order.

  125.   Users in Germany and Northern Europe may register thru a registration
  126.   service called "Der PD-Profi", which will take care of monitary

  146.  Un-Installing FoxFire 13
  147.  ------------------------
  148.   If you've decided not to register this program, you can un-install it
  149.   by simply removing the program's files from your disk and removing
  150.   the FoxFire 13 icon from Program Manager.  We'd appreciate your
