  1. READ_ME!.TXT File for Jot-It, the Intelligent Notepad

  3.     Jot-It is a personal notepad for Windows.
  4. Jot-It is ideal for recording to-do lists and reminders
  5. because it stores its data in a dedicated file and 
  6. remembers its dimensions, font size, font type and color
  7. scheme between sessions.  Detailed information about
  8. Jot-It is displayed when you click on the Help menu or
  9. press the F1 key after Jot-It is launched.

  11. INSTALLING JOT-IT
  12.  
  13.     The Jot-It zipped archive consists of the
  14. following four files:
  15.  
  16.     JOTIT.EXE - the main executable file for Jot-It
  17.     JOTIT.DAT - the Jot-It data file
  18.     CMDIALOG.VBX - a required support file used by
  19.                Jot-It's common dialogs
  20.     READ_ME!.TXT - this file
  21.  
  22.     Copy all four files to the same directory.
  23. If you wish, you may copy CMDIALOG.VBX to your Windows
  24. system subdirectory instead.  Jot-It is launched by
  25. running JOTIT.EXE.  NOTE: You must also have the Visual
  26. Basic 3.0 run-time module VBRUN300.DLL located on your
  27. Windows system subdirectory.  This module is available
  28. for downloading from most on-line services.

  30. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  31.  
  32.     1.  IBM-Compatible PC with a 386 or better chip,
  33.         Windows 3.1 with a VGA or better color monitor,
  34.         a mouse, and a hard drive
  35.     2.  Ensure that your Windows system subdirectroy
  36.         contains the file COMMDLG.DLL shipped with
  37.         Windows 3.1.  If you lack the file, copy it
  38.         to the subdirectory from your original Windows
  39.         disks.
  40.     3.  VBRUN300.DLL installed in your Windows system
  41.         subdirectory.
