  4. This is the README file for Version 1.01 of CDMaster.  For the most
  5. part, all the documentation for CDMaster is contained in the online
  6. help file.  However, any last minute changes may be found here.

  8. Since CDMaster is pretty intuitive, I am releasing CDMaster with only
  9. partial documentation in the help file.  Most of the help is there
  10. except there are just a few minor missing areas.  Let me know if it
  11. makes the application unusable.

  13. Please consult the online help system for registration and license
  14. information.  A nominal fee is requested if you find this application
  15. of use.  Thank you.

  20.   * Modified random number generator so Random Track would be truly
  21.     a random track instead of psudo-random.
  22.  
  23.   * Added code to handle random track selection when Previous and
  24.     Next track are selected.

  26.   * Bug Fix -- When you changed CD's, CDMaster was not correctly
  27.     identifying the new CD and enabling the Play button forcing you
  28.     to use Next Track.

  33. Hardware/Software Requirements
  34.  
  35.    CDMaster requires Windows 3.1 and a Windows compatible audio capable
  36.    CD-ROM drive.  Most CD-ROMs manufactured today are capable of audio
  37.    support.

  39.    Also required are the Windows CD-ROM drivers.  This is explained in more
  40.    detail in the help system and further information may be found in your
  41.    Windows users manual.

  44. Disk Space Requirements
  45.  
  46.    CDMaster requires approximately 539KB of disk space.  Following is a
  47.    breakdown of space utilization.

  49.    CDMaster Executables and Files              134,000 bytes (Approx)
  50.    PXENGWIN.DLL-Paradox Engine                 241,853 bytes
  51.    BWCC.DLL-Borland Custom Controls            151,968 bytes
  52.  
  53.    Most of this, 394KB, is for PXENGWIN.DLL and BWCC.DLL.  If you own
  54.    other Borland Borland products, these files may already exist on you
  55.    system.  PXENGWIN.DLL is the DLL for the Paradox database engine that
  56.    supports the Track and PlayList database. BWCC.DLL is the DLL for the
  57.    Borland Custom Controls used in CDMaster.

  60. Installation

  62.    If you received CDMaster in a .ZIP file:
  63.     
  64.       1. Unzip CDMASTER.ZIP to a floppy disk or a directory on your
  65.          hard disk.
  66.  
  67.       2. Select FILE|RUN from within Windows and enter A:\INSTALL.EXE
  68.          and press Enter.
  69.  
  70.       3. Follow the on screen instructions.

  72.    If you received CDMaster already on a floppy disk and not in .ZIP form:

  74.       1. Select FILE|RUN from within Windows and enter A:\INSTALL.EXE
  75.          and press Enter.
